Decknames are subject to change if necessary :/

by Lynolf on 2008-06-13 19:26 MDT

the 1º could be Mirrorforce, at least that's what I think the name is. And the 3º could be inovative and be called Elemental Commandments. Damn, I whished I was a judge just to be able to name decks. :D

by Mtgfanatic01 on 2008-06-13 19:35 MDT

Its hard to lose when you draw double spectral possession into mirrorweave every game.

by kby on 2008-06-13 19:42 MDT

WW-kithkin
Rogues
Burnt Toast
Elemental Aggro

by snoopster on 2008-06-13 20:26 MDT

agreed, mtgfanatic

by ebbitten on 2008-06-13 21:05 MDT

good job praet taking third

by kby on 2008-06-13 21:17 MDT

IT IS "BURNT TOAST" quick and toast is a DIFFERENT DECK

by Shooter on 2008-06-13 22:27 MDT

who cares about the name ¬¬
every1 who lost to rogues shall be ashamed :S

by Kurse on 2008-06-13 23:48 MDT

How the f is that Rogue deck winning? I shuffled up the one that top3'd the last trial and played about 3 games with it and just pulled my hair out at how awful it was...

by gypsy on 2008-06-14 00:11 MDT

maybe your just not that good and dont know how to play it properly

by Diveader on 2008-06-14 01:18 MDT

Grats, snoopster )

by Art on 2008-06-14 01:24 MDT

Rogues deck is such an underrated deck, but I don't like coolcreep's decklist, prefer the mine one (6th place)

by Diveader on 2008-06-14 01:30 MDT

Hey, admins, where are Ukrainian flag?

by PhilipV on 2008-06-14 01:53 MDT

@JDominguez

Would you mind sharing your rogues list then? The idea of the deck seems really cool and refreshing in this format. I have no idea though how this deck performs against ww, faeries, elementals and commandments. Could you send me some pointers? (philip_j_cortes@hotmail.com)
thx

by Eldariel on 2008-06-14 04:12 MDT

You can seek the tournament decks yourself, Philip. That's what the "Latest Tournaments"-page is for. Anyways, the requested deck:

Main Deck
4 Mutavault
18 Swamp
4 Frogtosser Banneret
4 Oona's Blackguard
4 Oona's Prowler
4 Stinkdrinker Bandit
3 Nightshade Stinger
2 Prickly Boggart
2 Earwig Squad
1 Inkfathom Infiltrator
4 Bitterblossom
4 Nameless Inversion
4 Morsel Theft
2 Profane Command

Sideboard
1 Earwig Squad
4 Murderous Redcap
4 Noggin Whack
4 Thoughtseize
2 Incremental Blight

by ManaLeak on 2008-06-14 05:57 MDT

Mirror Force win's again hmm.

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-14 06:45 MDT

yeah Kurse you are so bad that you could pick up affinity in t2 without bans and still lose.

by Bishop[FR] on 2008-06-14 06:47 MDT

Why in WW list, he prefer 2 UW liege and 1 GW liege?
3 UW liege not better? Flash?

by BusDriver on 2008-06-14 08:42 MDT

The list that is 2nd is much better than dominguez his list. Rogues need to win fast and get quick prowls in in the beginning or they lose (all the creatures are so weak).
Prowling in stinkdrinker on T2 is an autowin if opponent has no blocks/removal. U really need that 1 drop anyway.
Consider sbing the rogue equipment. it makes ur guys worth alot more.

by Pallin on 2008-06-14 09:24 MDT

Gj pretoriano ;)

by BloodyAngel on 2008-06-14 10:09 MDT

elementals ftw GJ pretoriano

by kfcman on 2008-06-14 11:13 MDT

Yeah the 4th place deck is Pat Chapin's Burnt Toast deck.

by onecleanceli on 2008-06-15 00:53 MDT

wow... i actually played the elemental deck guy round 1 and completely had him but magic-league is stupid as hell and if i had literally 5 more seconds, would have got the win..... would have wrecked that 'toast' deck as well but not sure how it would have stood up vs the 'rogues' or kithkin

by cymagic on 2008-06-16 03:45 MDT

i'm new to this website, but i played a real life tournament- gpt manila and made it to the finals with rogues-

3 mutavault
20 swamp
3 prickly boggart
4 oona's prowler
4 frogtosser banneret
4 inkfathom infiltrator
4 stinkdrinker bandit
2 marsh flitter
4 earwig squad
4 thoughtseize
4 morsel theft
4 nameless inversion

the one drops aren't that necessary, most of the time u do not turn 2 bandit- this is block-constructed, everyone has creatures to block with!

by TEPI on 2008-06-16 07:00 MDT

oh so it's called block constructed because you have to have creatures to block with in your deck? that's so cool!! LOL

by Mirage on 2008-06-16 15:19 MDT

not that i swear by what decklists contain, but did you find the 4 cloudthreshers to be one too many? i suppose a 7/7 for 6 with all those lines of ability is never actually bad in a situation

by SpectreBlack on 2008-06-16 19:43 MDT

A 7/7 Flash Reach Mini Squall Line for 6 is amazing...if anything, it can block and kill almost everything in the format.

Too bad your opponent can Mirrorweave the big guy and go lethal very easily with enough Kithkin heat.

by cymagic on 2008-06-16 23:05 MDT

with my list i entered ptq berlin last sunday... lost terribly to two kithkin decks- i prowl bandit turn 3, opp plays spectral procession turn 3, and after blockers mirrorweaves my bandit to turn 3 1/1 spirit flyers into 8/4 Goblin Rogues.
In Block, never assume ur would-be opponent won't be able to block ur turn 2 Bandit =D lol TEPI
