Ok now, what the hell happened? The last two rounds were never played out...

by Lynolf on 2008-06-06 19:33 MDT

LOL.

Guess everyone's afraid of BG Elves now, so they've given up. XD

By the way, Firespout in a Reveillark deck. Nice tech!

by ovmlcabrera on 2008-06-06 20:35 MDT

Hispanos Rulz!!!!!!!!

by JKilla on 2008-06-06 20:36 MDT

I threw away G1 vs silver_spawn and ended up going to 3 games and losing. It was a bad misplay but im not familiar with the deck and I was being yelled at by like 3 ppl. Oh well top 3 is ok.

by kfcman on 2008-06-06 22:15 MDT

LAWLZ

faeries loses to Lark, and Lark loses to Elves?

something sinister has happened to our Rock, Paper, Scissors meta.

by Acid_Christ on 2008-06-06 23:55 MDT

The Larks sb is directed at faeries.

by DjiDJo on 2008-06-07 01:03 MDT

Elves if played, correctly aren't good match-up for the 'Larks. They are one of the best options to beat lark (after Fae and Folks of course). Good Job to Spawn.

by silver_spawn on 2008-06-07 02:11 MDT

Lark didnt actually lose to Elves. The mach was never played, cause I and JKilla were dropped in the semifinals.
The facts: it was 4:00am here and I was so concentrated to win the mach that I didnt check the time and we didn't reprt 10 minutes after the time was up. At least they could have warned us with a private call intead of chatting in the channel!!!

My maches:
1.Merfolks 2-0 (really bad or tired player)

2.RG Manaramp 2-0 (easy win but he caught me with the magus of the moon the second game, wtf!)

3.Wafo-Tapa Quick n'Toast 2-1 (the 3rd game I won despite 2 Mind Shatters for my entire hand due to a lucky topdeck of mine. But it was his mistake too that he didnt gain life with Primal Comand and I left him at 2 so he couldn't play the Cloudthresher he had found with the Command!)

4.Merfolks again 2-0 (the 2nd game I had Reejery, Lord of Atlantis and two 4/4 Mutavaults - all with islandwalk!)

5.Faeries - 2-1 (after he gàve me as a present the 1st game, I thought: "That's it, I'll never win a second game against Fae!" But it appeared that he was inexperienced with the deck and made a few mistakes and eventually I won.)

6.BG Elves - I went to bed disappointed that I wouldn't have a chance to meet ovmlcabrera in the final.

P.S.I think that with 4 Firespouts (which were incredible all the games) Elves wouldn't be so hard mach.

that i will never understand is why u play lash out sb,all that lash out can do,condemn can do it better. And 3 damage in the reve are not needed :S.anyways gj.beat faeries with reve is not easy ;)

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-07 04:13 MDT

Yeah JKilla beat my friend in a mirror match to make top3 and although my friend isn't that good he still won g2 when he thought it was lost and then almost won g3 when he also thought it was lost. And the worst was that my friend lost because JKilla sided in damnations in the mirror...

JKilla I have an advice for you: if you can't play faeries don't. You'll win some random games where you go ancestral vision, bitterblossom but you'll lose the ones that require skill. And Damnation in the mirror? WTF?

by ZxcV on 2008-06-07 04:47 MDT

ALong this past days i just saw noobs doing top 3 and wining trials o0

M-l getting worst as noobs take all the tops o0

by navajita on 2008-06-07 07:16 MDT

go ovmlcabrera

by Rahxephon on 2008-06-07 07:32 MDT

I am seeing the same decks all the time during the last tournaments, in T2 and Block. In block, predominant deck is Kithkins, and in T2 always, or almost, we have UW Lark, GB Elves and UB Faeries. Its one of the most boring blocks I have ever seen, with a lot of great cards btw. This could be the reason why the cards are so expensive today.

by [BRAYAN] on 2008-06-07 07:45 MDT

Gb elves winner? omg i think that ovmlcabrera make it deck with a lot tech, so him is a great player :)

by JKilla on 2008-06-07 09:32 MDT

To TugaChampion- In the mirror i sided in 1 damnation bc I had one spot left open after taking useless stuff out. I only drew the damnation due to many draws off of visions and a long game. That damnation was my only out for a while and I timed the game perfectly to allow him to lose to his 2 blossoms. That said I misplayed g1 against lark bc I had like 3 ppl yelling at me and i was inexperienced with the deck. That said It was my fault and deserved to lose the match. Although I think that if I saw that time was up, G3 might have been mine. Oh well. BTW The lark decks sb is all vs faeries and i managed to win g2 despite 2 wispmare and 2 pulls.

by silver_spawn on 2008-06-07 09:48 MDT

"BTW The lark decks sb is all vs faeries and i managed to win g2 despite 2 wispmare and 2 pulls."

Yeah, because you had 3 Blossoms and 3 Visions maybe :)

"that i will never understand is why u play lash out sb,all that lash out can do,condemn can do it better. And 3 damage in the reve are not needed"

Lash out is always better in this metta, cause you can kill Magus and Imperious Perfect whether they attack you or not. You can also kill Merfolk Lords before they have mana open for counterspells. Oh, and you can scry 1 for the combo! And besides - 3 damage on the head are never useless.

by el_cuervito on 2008-06-07 09:53 MDT

Go Cabrera gay:)

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-07 12:17 MDT

LOL JKilla. So what did you take out? I mean you sided in 4 Thoughtseizes and 1 Damnation (I assume) and took out 5 removal cards (I assume). So why wouldn't you just leave 3 removal spells and keep Damnation out? It's always better to have instant removal for scion or mistbind than a sorcery speed card that can sometimes steal a game but can also be useless.

by kfcman on 2008-06-07 13:03 MDT

Well he should've sided like

-4 Mistbind Clique
+4 Thoughtseize

and just left it at that, because all of his maindeck cards are better than the damnations, gnomes and freezes.

But in any case, yea, agree with Tuga, any instant speed > damnation in mirror.

by JKilla on 2008-06-07 19:50 MDT

You guys can argue what u want but the fact is that it won me games and that i made top 3 in back to back trials.

by infernuz on 2008-06-08 22:30 MDT

lark ! :D

by TugaChampion on 2008-06-09 08:08 MDT

gratz you must be a pro to top3 back to back trials in m-l!
