Let's see....an old (non-Goyf) Dreadstill-list, a blast from 2002, a Standard tribal deck and 4c Landstill. Interesting to say the least. I wonder if nobody plays Vial Gobs anymore; all those decks pretty much scoop the MU save for 4c Still.

by kfcman on 2008-05-26 20:49 EST

lawz at this top 8 : )

save the landstill. lovin me sum landstill

by Cabal_chan on 2008-05-26 21:02 EST

Flame Javelin? Isn't there something more...efficient that could be run in that slot?

by ZW on 2008-05-26 21:08 EST

My deck actually was very good, it just couldn't find the second island to counter engineered plague G3. I also got incredibly lucky against Navajita.

by Kaos on 2008-05-27 01:10 EST

I didn't know my list was old.... but yeah, I like Shooters list with Goyf, and some freed up slots more.

He would have won that match easily had we played.

by gypsy on 2008-05-27 02:19 EST

there are still some lists w/o goyf but its usually played a lot more now with krosan grips and extirpates being played and goyf helps agaisnt aggro as well as being a threat thats hard to deal with

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-27 06:39 EST

Faeries is taking over goblins role as best tribe in all formats! Who would have imagined when they announced faeries would be one of the Lorwyn races?

btw kfcman it's top4 not top8.

by Chaosweaver on 2008-05-27 10:40 EST

extinction! Plague! Tsabo's Decree!

by Sandmann1 on 2008-05-27 13:54 EST

@ELdariel: The list is not "old" or so. It´s just another list, some people like goyf in there and others don´t. The list is good tough.

by Eldariel on 2008-05-27 15:13 EST

Let me put it this way: Dreadstill with Goyf > Dreadstill without Goyf.

by ChristPunchr on 2008-05-27 15:44 EST

I believe it is spelled "you're" or "your".

So a 1.5 adaptation of the typical faerie deck is the new faerie stompy deck? No more city of traitors, ancient tombs, sea drake and so forth?!

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-27 15:55 EST

faerie stompy is very different from actual faeries.

by gypsy on 2008-05-27 17:03 EST

faerie stompy doesnt even have faeries most of the time

by natethetank on 2008-05-27 17:09 EST

wow damn it
i had my own faerie deck all built up and ready to go. unfortunatly drafts at neutral ground are monday and thursday nights. meh my build ran the counterbalance combo which seems pretty sick next to a bitterblossum. either they want to cast there own spells and disenchant the balance or have me not win through the token generater. also cabal therapy is the awesamness with bitterblossum.

by ChristPunchr on 2008-05-27 19:46 EST

I was referring to the deck's role in the format...I was hoping that was implied.

by Mirror_Image on 2008-05-27 20:31 EST

GJ SHUSHER !!! Ops... SHOOTER !

by kilomitro on 2008-05-27 22:32 EST

nate draft is the "awesamness"

by Ownj00 on 2008-05-27 23:56 EST

this is low even for m-l standards

by warwizard87 on 2008-05-28 02:04 EST

no painters sotne combo decks!!!

by gypsy on 2008-05-28 02:39 EST

how is this a low for ml 2 good decks in top 2?

by onecleanceli on 2008-05-28 03:30 EST

can someone explain to me how the whole dreadstill thing works? how does he ever hit play? there's no creatures in the deck except mage, + the 2/2 lands.... is it just a stall deck until he finallys the table, then he swings for the win like 20 minutes later??

by gypsy on 2008-05-28 03:59 EST

stifle on dreadnaught

by cm_ on 2008-05-28 07:41 EST

We can all learn from this shit.... e.g. playing Engineered Plague and stuff...

(faeries. goblin sligh. wtf. And I thought the days where 3/4 Top 4 decks were either Burn or Belcher were bad.)

Also, Dreadstill with Goyf is not necessarily '>' Dreadstill without Goyf.

by ZW on 2008-05-28 21:05 EST

Cm, next time, u win trial please,so we can learn from your excellence.

by cm_ on 2008-05-29 05:57 EST

It doesn't take an excellent player to recognize a bad deck. But sure, I'll try to win next trial :]

by Othar on 2008-06-07 10:53 EST

That my favourite landstill build I've ever seen. Kudos to Shooter
