back to back top 3s for d3m0n not bad.
swath storm deck looks interesting.

how did it perform?

by CalebD on 2008-05-14 18:39 MDT

Well-metad d3m0n, the 4 md deserts are great. That's probably the best UW blink list I've ever seen.

by d3m0n on 2008-05-14 18:40 MDT

Team: The Unforgiven #1 and #3
#mtg.de , #Unforgiven

Although it runs 4 Blink it still is supposed to be Reveillark.deck :D

Storm did perferm very nice, its really hard to handle.

by L11 on 2008-05-14 19:37 MDT

Could you explain how you board for each m-u?

by _SM0KE_ on 2008-05-14 19:47 MDT

the ds list is good, but the side doesnt seem very optimal =/

Gj, and needle drop is cool in this deck :P

by sorot on 2008-05-14 20:31 MDT

HMMM HOW TO STOP STORM ?

by Noname1 on 2008-05-14 20:39 MDT

credits to isperia for the deck I made some minor tweaks to it

congratulations to d3m0n on the win

by _SM0KE_ on 2008-05-14 21:47 EDT

the ds list is good, but the side doesnt seem very optimal =/

what would you suggest for a sideboard?

by Maerugo1 on 2008-05-14 21:41 MDT

can we have the Meta list of this trial.

by Conkisstador on 2008-05-14 22:06 MDT

about time people played desert.....

.......

... ya.

that's all i have to say about that

by poopascoopa on 2008-05-14 23:20 MDT

Hooray for cheesy combo netdecks. So original.

by Ro on 2008-05-15 00:51 MDT

Hooray for poopascoopa for being biggest douchebag on earth! So original.

by Holzi on 2008-05-15 01:34 MDT

gratz d3m0n...

btw it is not a dragonstorm deck...

by kreff on 2008-05-15 01:37 MDT

d3m0n u are my new good, how u did to win 2 times to faeries?????, i thought its just imposible.:S

by BloodyAngel on 2008-05-15 03:08 MDT

he made the deck just to beat faeries, too much hate

by GoLgY on 2008-05-15 03:18 MDT

finally someone playing dessert maindeck in reveillark.. the mutavaults were completly useless in the deck!

dessert gives this deck excellent options against faeries

allthough i don't like the rest of the list

well done D3mon..

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-15 03:20 MDT

He only has Porphyry Nodes and Pull from Eternity as pure hate vs faeries. Desert can be solved with scion of oona and pendelhaven but those stupid nodes don't target.

by GoLgY on 2008-05-15 03:22 MDT

thats why i don't like his list.. he needs sower of temptation.. that card is just killer in reveillark deck! gives good mirror, and it can steal scion of oona so you get a 3/3 flying shroud control magic

by ChuckNorris on 2008-05-15 03:43 MDT

Wait is this actual? BJB?

by natethetank on 2008-05-15 05:48 MDT

i like how that storm list splashs ponder. anyone else think thats horrendous?

by Art on 2008-05-15 06:11 MDT

Porphyry nodes is just awesome against faeries

by [Ger]Ravager on 2008-05-15 06:53 MDT

nate:

everytime i faced the storm deck they used ponder, can´t see anything special about it.

by Mirage on 2008-05-15 08:09 MDT

more like kitchen blinks

by gypsy on 2008-05-15 08:53 MDT

ponder is awsome

by ForzaAzzurri on 2008-05-15 09:25 MDT

poopascoopa can eat a dick!

by thedarkness on 2008-05-15 09:45 MDT

-.-; I was running Desert in reveblink for ages...

Anyway, how did nobody notice that his list is awful? Let me enumerate the reasons why.

He runs 23 lands. This in itself is not a problem; the PROBLEM is that 15 of them REQUIRE that he have one of the 8 mana-producing lands in play in order to produce colored mana themselves. I know from a lot of experience that this will result in way too much mulliganing to be worthwhile. 15 colorless mana sources is about twice as much as you want.

Aven Riftwatcher is ALWAYS better than Kitchen Finks in Reveblink. Why?

FINKS CAN'T BE RETURNED BY REVEILLARK. That means his list has NO redundant life gain, which is basically how the deck beats aggro. Riftwatcher + Blink + Reveillark + Wrath of God = gg vs aggro, basically. That's just how the matchup works.

I do like his sideboard, but I don't see the point of Rune Snag over WoG. Rune Snag is a bad Mana Leak in this deck. There are decks where it's an auto-include, but in Reveblink it's just a waste of card slots, because by the time you draw a second, it shouldn't be a relevant topdeck. You should either have generated enough card advantage to win, your opponent should have 4 spare mana, or you should be losing.

The lack of Sower of Temptation makes me think that he didn't encounter a single mirror match, because that is one of the worse blink lists I've seen, and unless he got extremely lucky or got god draws, I just can't see that list winning in the mirror.

I have to like the Faerie hate, but only because I ran 8 hate cards in the invitational and still lost to it twice. I need to fix that.

by isperia on 2008-05-15 09:53 MDT

NoName1, nice job :p nice to see my idea got to top )))

by Trotsky1 on 2008-05-15 09:57 MDT

I agree with thedarkness the biggest problem blink has according to anyone who knows anything about it is its mana base and that just makes it even worse.

by sterbi on 2008-05-15 10:27 MDT

Gj Teammates - 'nuff said.

by PV on 2008-05-15 10:45 MDT

I suggest we ban poospascoopa

by gypsy on 2008-05-15 11:53 MDT

i agree with pv, he doesnt even play here all he does is complain about netdecks, its like columbus all over again

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-15 13:19 MDT

I also suggest we gypsy to change his nick to gypsy teh pro

the ds list is good, but the side doesnt seem very optimal =/

what would you suggest for a sideboard?

I use everlasting torment, wheel of fate and shusher (i will test gutural)

I dont think pact or pyroclasm can be useful
And i dont know why use that 1 random ancient grudge

I guess compared to you he is a pro. Stop being horrible to people for no reason whatever your problem is, Im pretty sure Gypsy is not the cause of it.

by sterbi on 2008-05-15 17:57 MDT

15 colorless mana sources is about twice as much as you want.

Y, Expanse is pretty Colorless o0.

Aven Riftwatcher is ALWAYS better than Kitchen Finks in Reveblink. Why?

If i can Blink my Finks i get 6 Block insetad of 3 ..

The lack of Sower of Temptation makes me think that he didn't encounter a single mirror match, because that is one of the worse blink lists I've seen, and unless he got extremely lucky or got god draws, I just can't see that list winning in the mirror.

He has Rune Snags and probably one BOdy Double more, that can win him the Mirror.

by kfcman on 2008-05-15 19:12 MDT

Trotsky, tuga was givin gypsy actual props because of the last trial, in which gypsy top 8d with what seemed to be a kinda bad list

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-16 05:17 MDT

Trotsky1 I have no problems lol. he isn't a pro comprared to no one. And the reason I'm mocking him is because in 2 trials I made some comments about some cards and decks and he was saying I was a noob and stuff when I have tested faeries and understand the deck much better than him.

by Chico_Ze on 2008-05-16 05:23 MDT

TugaChampion > you :(.

by d3m0n on 2008-05-16 07:00 MDT

thedarkness ... when i read your comment all i see is that you did not understand why this deck works as it does.

Sterbi you got it :D

In Fact I didnt face a mirror... In Fact I dont fear a for a second :D

by Trotsky1 on 2008-05-16 07:00 MDT

Well frankly it's improffesional to mock people for whatever reasons, as professionals are ambassadors for whatever sport game they represent so if you want too behave like one consider that.

Unintelligent people resort to mocking insulting people as a means of making an argument, as they are incapeable of making smart quips or logical arguments. As gyspy did not do that he wins this one.

Its fine to disagree with gypsy but bullying people simply because you disagree with them is very nazi, more so carrying it over into new threads. Im sure gypsy feels on the matter that he knows more than you about faeries and has tested it more, theres no real way to know who has tested it more I would guess you have both tested it alot but still come to different conclusions. It doesnt even matter who has tested more who's right who's wrong.

by Diablo49 on 2008-05-16 07:14 MDT

in reveillark
aven riftwatcher >>>bink<<< kitchens finks
because blink but i like more aven
but ok

fikem

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-16 07:34 MDT

Trotsky1:

lol. I'm not a pro neither is 99.9% of this league.

gypsy was the one that started the mocking so I decided to own him on those trials but since he top3ed a trial I decided to keep this up a little longer lol.

He probably has never played faeries at all! I made some comments in those 2 trials explaining my point of view and he went like: nothing Tuga said makes sense.

by CalebD on 2008-05-16 07:57 MDT

" the PROBLEM is that 15 of them REQUIRE that he have one of the 8 mana-producing lands in play in order to produce colored mana themselves."

15-4 = 11. 8 + 4 = 12. 12 colored and 11 colorless isn't bad with 4 cycling artifacts.

"FINKS CAN'T BE RETURNED BY REVEILLARK. That means his list has NO redundant life gain, which is basically how the deck beats aggro. Riftwatcher + Blink + Reveillark + Wrath of God = gg vs aggro, basically. That's just how the matchup works."

Finks are a better overall card than riftwatchers, though, making for a higher-powered deck overall. There are plenty of targets for lark, you know, like simply winning the game.

"The lack of Sower of Temptation makes me think that he didn't encounter a single mirror match, because that is one of the worse blink lists I've seen, and unless he got extremely lucky or got god draws, I just can't see that list winning in the mirror."

Yes, because the Rev mirror on m-l is so very popular. I test the hell out of it constantly, you just can't escape playing against five rounds of Rev.

On a serious note, his list is built to go off more consistantly than most rev builds, he might simply just win against them. Naw, winning is much worse than stealing one creature with a 4cc 2/2.

by gypsy on 2008-05-16 08:21 MDT

ive actually played faeries a lot, in this trial and the trial on thursday. and yes i was wrong and you were right, mawcor isnt rly that good. but i never mocked you, i called you an idiot, i never said you were a noob or that i was better than you. and yes i admit i was wrong and you are right

by Eldar on 2008-05-16 13:40 MDT

GJ Bill. Represent PA with teh fae.

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-16 18:15 MDT

Cool. I mean as a surprise mawcor is good because if you see them playing a morph you probably think: "WTF? Random card? I won't waste a counter or removal on this one." And then you get owned by it. Now people know about it and it's not good.

You played faeries in 2 trials. That's not a lot of testing. I played it since the GP and I even have the deck on mtgo and irl.

But it wasn't only mawcor. You said that everything I said didn't make sense in the block trial when I said reflecting pool wasn't very good in faeries and that you shouldn't play 4 sunken ruins.

The big reason I reacted in a bad way to that was because a friend of mine saw that comment and started making jokes about it so I had to do it lol.

by SoggyToast on 2008-05-16 18:38 MDT

Noname1 - Please explain your sideboard, I can't make heads or tails out of it.

by gypsy on 2008-05-16 20:06 MDT

ive played it in more than 2 trials but i wasnt the one who said reflecting wasnt good or you shouldnt play sunken ruins it wasnt me your mixing me up with someone else
