I don't understand. With a sdb like that, how did Doran lost to Faeries? I would prefer it to win. I'm sick of seeing the Fae winning T2, now block too!?

by makarra on 2008-05-07 15:55 MDT

Gratz for Skarabaeus!
Grats for me!
Doran is nice.

by navajita on 2008-05-07 15:56 MDT

by Eldohir on 2008-05-07 16:02 MDT

Your comp fucked ? I'd like to see !:p

by Rahxephon on 2008-05-07 16:37 MDT

Navajita is a crack, he will never allow his computer fucked him, so gooooo!!!

Btw, Lorwyn Block is very very boring, only creatures here and there... and always the same decks.

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-07 16:44 MDT

LOLOL navajita's computer lost its virginity before navajita!!!

About the faeries list: I don't like the fact that it doesn't play Ponder. Ponder is block is iek Ancestral Vision in T2. Another thing that I don't like is it's mana base. First I don't think you should run 4 Sunken Ruins. 2 or 3 is better or else you'll have to mulligan some good hands because you have 3 sunken ruins in hand. And Reflecting Pool is really really bad n faeries. The only time it can be an advantage is when you have sunken ruins. Without ruins it's always strickly worse than an island or a swamp. Pool is made for 3 color decks not 2. You should play some vivid lands.

tuga I lost virginity by your mother

by LuCaparroz on 2008-05-07 18:56 MDT

by neckfire on 2008-05-07 19:15 MDT

congrats navajita too bad i got stuck on 2 lands against you in round 3 my deck could have given you a run for its money bust still congrats on the top 4 birth.

by Tewl on 2008-05-07 21:46 MDT

yay everyone!

by Dan_G on 2008-05-08 01:41 MDT

TugaChampion if the starting hand had 3 sunken ruins in it then its a bad hand anyway :/ whats the chance of that happening compared to the amount of times it helps you get both your colours or get UUU for command. I think 3 is the minimum that should be played

by Ggerg on 2008-05-08 02:08 MDT

ya...everything tuga said was a little off

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-08 04:59 MDT

Dan_G are you being stupid on purpose? If that hand has 3 sunken ruins and no other land is bad because you don't have coloured mana. I'm just saying that a good hand with the right lands can become an obvious mulligan with 3 sunken ruins as the only lands in there. I actually think 3 is the maximum that should be played.

Ggerg: everything I said is based on testing but if you don't agree maybe you should explain why and bless us with your amazing knowledge.

Sorry you are 1550 in here which is like 1400 IRL.

by BusDriver on 2008-05-08 08:49 MDT

sunken ruins provides good fixing often
even if it sucks when ur only lands are sunken ruins and mutavaults

by sterbi on 2008-05-08 09:11 MDT

#mtg.de ftw!

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-08 10:33 MDT

that's why 2 or 3 are good.

by Trotsky1 on 2008-05-08 14:45 MDT

You can not in a two or more coloured deck have 1/3 of you land only capeable of creating colourless mana with out colourless fixing. Every 2 land hand has a 9% chance of being only able to create colourless mana, every 3 land hand has a 2.7% chance. Your just giving youself so many more unplayable hands that over a large play period it is going to cost you games. There is enough mana fixing in block so that it is not a necessity to play the new set of lands im sure they have a nickname but it eludes me. Or if you prefer consitency you can play a full set and cut back on the mutavaults. The old faerie mana base pre shadowmoor is better than the mana base on the one in first place.

by _SM0KE_ on 2008-05-08 20:27 MDT

Sunken = no seize turn 1

So its crap :P

by StormFTW on 2008-05-08 20:48 MDT

wow tugachampion if hes a 1400 then ur at 1700 IRL this rating system is just crap cuz workstation is skewed because ppl like me. I don't play serious decks here at them magic league. but when i pay any where from 5-30 dollars to enter a tourney u better bet i'm busting out a good deck so plz don't bring ratings in to this it only makes you look like an elitist d bag, also if you have 3 sunken ruins in ur op hand u need to lean how to shuffle or start playing dreadge in extended. i know the shuffler is a little crazy but come on that doesn't happen that often.

by TugaChampion on 2008-05-09 04:51 MDT

"u need to lean how to shuffle"

You mean cheating?

And yeah you are so bad you screw everything.

Trotsky1: I already played 4 mutavaults before Shadowmoor. I also played 4 cryptic commands so I had to have some number of vivid lands. I played 6. Now I play 4 vivid lands and 2 sunken ruins (only have 2 maybe I'll get the 3rd one for the GPT). Mutavaults are way too good to not play 4 and Cryptic Command even better.

by Trotsky1 on 2008-05-09 16:08 MDT

Yeah I agree with running 4 muta vault in fae, it was just listing another option.
