Kytep on 2008-04-14 21:16 MDT Wow - 4 each Dragon's Claw and Flashfreeze in the sideboards of the Top 2! by Tms-Rock on 2008-04-14 21:25 MDT Merfolks lost to faeriess?! neways grats guys by medd99 on 2008-04-14 21:42 MDT So are the red decks so bad that they need 4 dragon's claw and 4 flashfreeze in the board's of these decks ? Or are there for something else !! by Avata on 2008-04-14 21:53 MDT I'm a bit confused at going with two each of remove soul, nameless inversion, terror, and unsummon in the main deck. Isn't 1) Rune Snag superior to remove soul anyway and 2) it better to figure out which of the cards is better and up them to 4 for consistencies sake? by poopascoopa on 2008-04-14 21:59 MDT Really sloppy faerie list, but luck prevailed I guess... by KrovikanMist on 2008-04-14 22:04 MDT what do u mean sloppy, if it wins its good... by aceben3 on 2008-04-14 22:25 MDT yeah how did merfolk lose to faeries? was vendilion clique any good? by Tms-Rock on 2008-04-14 22:54 MDT Thats like saying at FNM if u lose to Cream of the Crop Mono U somehow its good.... (no idea what im talking about Mono U CoC) by gypsy on 2008-04-14 22:58 MDT merfolk lost to faeries by merfolk not being able to block at all. sometimes having lots of different cards that basically do the same thing is better than having 4 of the same card. why do you think the japs do well because they have different answers. your opp plays around one card then you beat them with something different that accomplishes the same thing. and shooter is a rly good player so im assuming that helps. i geuss people just like to criticize decklists just because theyre not the stock lists theyre used to seeing by Fabio on 2008-04-14 23:34 MDT Yes, gypsy said everything, go Shooter!
by GirlWitCards on 2008-04-15 01:05 MDT While faeries has an unfavorable MU to merfolk, it's not a totally bad one. A bitter blossom turn 2, sprite turn3, and avoiding dropping an island can usually be a winning move. It's really a luck factor sometimes, whoever gets the nuts hand wins.
by gypsy on 2008-04-15 02:24 MDT why is it unfavorable exactly? same amount of counters, faeries has more man lands and more lands, faeries has trump in creature fights with bitterblossom, faeries has evasion always, islandwalk is only sometimes if they drew and play one of their 4 islands. merfolk has to tap out mainphase to cast their creatures will faeries can cast them as instants, and faeries has more removal and trump to merfolks removal in scion. how is it unfavorable? by ZerrG on 2008-04-15 04:33 MDT Tbh, i don't think faeries have such a bad MU vs Merfolk, for all the reasons gypsy has said, but in g2 i got land screwed and that tottaly blew up my chances to win. Anyway it was a good g1, and shooter comeback from an almost certain defeat when he managed to put 2 Mistblind clique in the last 2 turns when he was facing 2 Bannerets and at 4 life, i could never play my reejerey to swing ftw!
by Mirror_Image on 2008-04-15 06:32 MDT Well done, Xuti !!! by bladerisen on 2008-04-15 06:46 MDT GJ Shooter! by perep on 2008-04-15 06:57 MDT its the first time that i see a good list of faeries in m-l!or the same, without pestermites!
by Chico_Ze on 2008-04-15 07:10 MDT Shooter me faz um filho tá? :D:D:D by aldaryn on 2008-04-15 07:23 MDT finally, go go vendilion clique by DOminarian on 2008-04-15 10:19 MDT peppersmoke
by Volrath89 on 2008-04-15 11:04 MDT ZerrG no sabia q eras de Panamá xD
by Volrath89 on 2008-04-15 11:07 MDT oh and shooter, -2 unsummon -2 remove soul +4 rune snag, a good sb and u have a near perfect faeries list :P .. Dragon's claw sux :( by Alvaro21k on 2008-04-15 11:37 MDT Yeah, as volrath said, Id try to fit rune snags to the fairies list, it is just that great :P
by Shooter on 2008-04-15 12:24 MDT merfolks win vs. faeries cause they become big b4 faeries get control. Cutting the 1-drops,u take this advantage,so it's an even MU.
by aldaryn on 2008-04-15 14:28 MDT how good was clique over pestermite? i'd like another opinion on this epic struggle by Pegleg on 2008-04-15 15:42 MDT the match up is in faeries favorite because the spellstutter sprites are hard counters and the removal is enough to survive the early onslaught of the merfolk quick draws. In testing I was surprised when faeries was winning the match up. On paper merfolks wins but for real its faeries that is the favorite by TwoTrees on 2008-04-15 16:14 MDT Shooter > earth.
by aceben3 on 2008-04-15 17:15 MDT wow, i have never lost to faeries with merfolk, and i just won my city champs with fish. kinda makes me wanna hit up shooter now. by sandoiche on 2008-04-15 17:36 MDT I was playing a 74 cards copy list from Shooter those days, too bad I suck otherwise i would have been in top 2, playing against him.
by aldaryn on 2008-04-15 17:58 MDT 75th card screwed you; what'dja do, forget the pendelhaven?
by sandoiche on 2008-04-15 20:07 MDT -1 nameless +1 terror
