TwoTrees on 2008-03-14 17:42 MDT That looks like a really good 1st place deck.
by r0fl on 2008-03-14 17:44 MDT how did he get 2nd without kiki by Trotsky1 on 2008-03-14 18:18 MDT Is pestermite really good enough to be in the deck in extended as much as I love it with out the combo? by MotC on 2008-03-14 19:11 MDT that build of sea stompy needs kiki jiki by BloodyAngel on 2008-03-14 20:28 MDT no tarmo on that rock, im amazed, nice deck for the meta right now by dv8r on 2008-03-14 20:55 MDT that first place deck is absolutely ingenious, I don't wanna sound condescending... but well done... by Spyx on 2008-03-14 21:31 MDT 3rd place is armadillo cloak.dec? by Chibu on 2008-03-14 21:38 MDT spirit.dec ftw! by sui_slush on 2008-03-14 22:14 MDT the deck is called spirit stompy. by Bozo on 2008-03-14 22:49 MDT I think 2 Saffi 4 Goyf would be better than 3 saffi 3 Goyf. Just a thought. by dv8r on 2008-03-14 23:25 MDT I disagree, goyf doesn't return teeg vs combo and dron by Dakh on 2008-03-14 23:42 MDT kiki jiki is terrible 2rrr when i cast it? by gypsy on 2008-03-14 23:52 MDT u dont rly need kiki jiki its like a win more card by corbox on 2008-03-15 00:50 MDT gg all
by gypsy on 2008-03-15 02:21 MDT wisp is good if u play vs lots of red, and kami is amazing vs ideal. the super fast flow rock sucks the slower ones are much better. by Eldariel on 2008-03-15 02:27 MDT Actually, Wisp took the most Top 8s out of all PTQs last week. Don't underestimate it. Worship/Troll is simple 'I win' against many decks and a 4/4 Teeg or Teeg + Saffi does huge damage too.
by corbox on 2008-03-15 02:31 MDT first : ideal is not as played as it used to be a few weeks ago so building a good sb (with good cards against ideal if you fear it that much) is much better.
by gypsy on 2008-03-15 03:51 MDT yes but kami of ancient law is also a good engine card for the deck as its a 2 drop spirit and its good vs flow, ideal, next level blue, etc. by TugaChampion on 2008-03-15 05:46 MDT corbox obv missed the fact that Kami of Ancient Law is a spirit so it triggers Tallowisp.
by gypsy on 2008-03-15 06:12 MDT death clouds bad matchups are every deck that isnt another form of rock aka every deck thats good. cloud is so overrated its unreal, and why does everyone hate on flow decks that dont have mox or birds, turn 2 flow isnt neede when u can have a better late game which is relevant to most of the feild besides teps and ideal. turn 2 skaura into turn 3 duress/seize plus flow is better than getting clunky draws with birds mox and then having no preassure by TwoTrees on 2008-03-15 11:02 MDT Eldariel.
by Boba383 on 2008-03-16 03:29 MDT ya ive been messin around with the Spirit stompy deck too and it is quite good...though i just got my ass handed to me by an elf/insect deck (theres no way to deal with all the tokens it produced with wirewood hivemaster)
by Eldariel on 2008-03-16 08:43 MDT Just get a Dillo Cloak or Griffin Guide out and you win against an Elf-pile. Heck, Worship should be game before side.
by ebbitten on 2008-03-16 10:52 MDT Well i think it was just a straight net deck off of mtg.com so obviously the sb/md isn't tuned for m-l meta. by Boba383 on 2008-03-16 13:51 MDT haha except i did get cloaks out all three games (i did win pre board)
by Ownj00 on 2008-03-17 08:25 MDT 1st: why even bother with corbox. anyone who hasn't seen spirit stompy by now clearly isn't on top of the format.
by Euge on 2008-03-17 15:43 MDT all the people who thinks that sea stompie needs kiki never played it. that's for sure. the list is mine and this build so tempo oriented it's really good both against control and aggro. maybe i should add something more to deal with dredge.
