Pv's list ... How did ideal lose.

by Bozo on 2008-03-02 20:22 MDT

PV is the master.
PS: Pestermite you. Infinitely.

by center425 on 2008-03-02 20:29 MDT

PV is a master

by therooster on 2008-03-02 20:32 MDT

PV's deck puts Brazil on the map... again.

by jprophet22 on 2008-03-02 20:40 MDT

who uses plunge into darkness when spoils is strictly better?

by center425 on 2008-03-02 20:48 MDT

You know except where spoils randomly kills you.

by TwoTrees on 2008-03-02 20:57 MDT

PV IS SECKS

by zig-goyf on 2008-03-02 20:59 MDT

go pv go congrat to top 8

by Eldar on 2008-03-02 21:19 MDT

Pestermite FTW! That deck is so pro. Not sure if I like pester-jiki or kiki-mite better though.

by thedarkness on 2008-03-02 22:02 MDT

Spoils is not "strictly" anything compared to plunge into darkness.

It's ALMOST strictly worse, because it will randomly kill you before netting you the spell you want. Plunge on the other hand loses you a set amount of life, and you ALWAYS get a card, even if it isn't what you wanted. The ONLY times spoils is better, it's only better because you didn't decide to lose enough life.

Also..I hear random Kiki-Jiki + Venser trix > Ideal. o.O

by Burton911 on 2008-03-02 22:08 MDT

OMG

PV raped ML oO

bad day for mtg.de :(

by Vesuvian on 2008-03-02 22:15 MDT

Kiki has a "nonlegendary" clause.

by sui_slush on 2008-03-02 22:17 MDT

Also..I hear random Kiki-Jiki + Venser trix > Ideal. o.O

Sounds like cheating to me.

by r0fl on 2008-03-02 22:21 MDT

rofl nice try darkness.

by Eldariel on 2008-03-02 22:42 MDT

Mystic snake would work and is in the colours and has the same CC. Could be interesting, although it doesn't bounce. Also, that deck is sooo sooo smexy. I think I'm gonna play it. Or Clerics.

by curly on 2008-03-02 23:22 MDT

wow wtg PV and top 8. i would hav eplayed but after yesterdays bull i desided to sleep in thus missing the master. also the kiki-mite(think it sounds the best) is a sexy ass list.

by Lynolf on 2008-03-03 00:17 MDT

That's an interesting Top8... :O

Go Kiki-Jiki! Rogue decks ftw :D

Portugal in Top8. Alright ringman ^^

by pG on 2008-03-03 00:49 MDT

by Dur_Faroth on 2008-03-03 04:03 MDT

how works kiki jiki deck?

beat with goyf and apes till he get the combo???

isn't too slow??

by TugaChampion on 2008-03-03 05:10 MDT

GOGOGO Ringman!

Btw Pestermite is broken!

by aldaryn on 2008-03-03 05:20 MDT

well, you can sit on counterspells, and you have early drops, and the combo isn't necessary to win...and hitting it on turn 5 doesn't seem that slow..

by Vlada on 2008-03-03 05:28 MDT

roflmao
jajajajajajajaja winz
everyone who played that masters shoud shoot themselves

by center425 on 2008-03-03 07:07 MDT

by Ro on 2008-03-03 10:24 MDT

Also..I hear random Kiki-Jiki + Venser trix > Ideal. o.O
-----------

Where did u hear that cuz afaik venser is legendary.

by dv8r on 2008-03-03 13:22 MDT

wow, you guys are idiots, he clearly meant the venser for bouncing confinement the turn before you win, NOT for copying it repeatedly....

by MaksymG on 2008-03-03 13:43 MDT

teah, exactly the same way that the counterbalance deck beat ideal in the finals of that pro tour. 2/3 wins in that match came from venser bouncing the enchnatment and then going in for the kill

by MegamanX14 on 2008-03-03 13:44 MDT

No he didn't, lol. He definitely did not CLEARLY state that. Why would he talk about Kiki-Jiki if the only thing he meant was Venser?

That deck looks so fresh, though. I gotta try that. Great job, PV.

by thedarkness on 2008-03-03 13:55 MDT

by mchild80 on 2008-03-03 00:19 EST

the darkness:

RTFC...most important rule of Magic.

Alright, you know what? I got that before any of you told me to read it, I didn't need dumbasses spouting "read the card" three or four times. dv8r is in fact right. Since the combo isn't affected by dovescape, and pestermite has flying, I don't see what was hard to understand. :\ Since you people clearly seem to think that you know how Ideal operates (how did it lose being the primary comment left and right, as if you people have tested the matchup), then you should also be able to notice the simple answers to it. Not my fault y'all are retarded, and thank you dv8r for pointing it out, since it clearly wasn't as obvious as I thought it was.

Edit: though to be fair, there are only two vensers. It's not a fail-proof strategy.

by DaveK on 2008-03-03 14:02 MDT

Wow you can't confess you were so wrong, even after megamanX posted.

"Also..I hear random Kiki-Jiki + Venser trix > Ideal. o.O"

If you meant what dv8r said (venser bounce ftw), then kiki-jiki is totally left out of the equation. But, you CLEARLY stated "Kiki-Jiki + Venser", thus you could not have meant solo venser.

by thedarkness on 2008-03-03 14:46 MDT

Oh yes, clearly. -.-;

On the other hand, since you need the kiki-mite combo to win the turn you cast the venser, I don't actually follow your logic at all. :\

Maybe if I reverse my comment you people will magically understand, but I have my doubts.

Also..I hear Venser trix + random Kiki-Jiki > Ideal

Is that any clearer for you people? They WERE, in fact, separate and apart.

I guess it wasn't particularly CLEAR, but how many of you are telepathic here? Don't try to tell me what *IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII* meant when *IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII* said something.

Edit: by MegamanX14 on 2008-03-03 15:44 EST

No he didn't, lol. He definitely did not CLEARLY state that. Why would he talk about Kiki-Jiki if the only thing he meant was Venser?

I'll use this comment to try and clarify, since he actually makes my point better than I did in the rest of this post.

"Why would he talk about Kiki-Jiki if the only thing he meant was Venser?"

BECAUSE YOU NEED KIKI-JIKI AND A PESTERMITE

TO KILL THE IDEAL PLAYER

AFTER VENSER BOUNCES THE CONFINEMENT

AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE KIKI-MITE

THEY FETCH THE SECOND CONFINEMENT

AND KILL YOU.

by Dan1 on 2008-03-03 14:52 MDT

br won the master again :\

gj PV and Fabio

by Strider45 on 2008-03-03 14:55 MDT

navajita > all ;)

by ChuckNorris on 2008-03-03 16:47 MDT

Aids.

by curly on 2008-03-03 18:43 MDT

well what i think he meant by the kiki+venser is that you play venser when they play ideal, next turn you copy venser and you bounce it again(im aware it dies) or bounce an enchant and tehn bounce a second one(again im aware it dies)and thus it ither give you time to win or lets you win. i really would sac a venser to bounce a perm and wing for the win.

by ChuckNorris on 2008-03-03 18:58 MDT

Kiki Jiki, Mirror Breaker RRR2
Legendary Creature - Goblin Shaman
Haste
T: Put a creature token into play that's a copy of target nonlegendary creature you control. That creature token has haste. Sacrifice it at end of turn.

3/3

by dv8r on 2008-03-03 19:08 MDT

.... 2/2, if you're going to mock people at least quote the card correctly

by gypsy on 2008-03-03 19:58 MDT

curly ur so dumb

by _SM0KE_ on 2008-03-03 20:21 MDT

[...]Target NONLEGENDARY creature[...]

Is this so hard to understand? =/

by Desire09 on 2008-03-03 20:24 MDT

This is sorta funny.

by aldaryn on 2008-03-03 20:51 MDT

on another note, anyone got any tech for the cloud mirror...

by toguppy on 2008-03-03 21:19 MDT

promise of power :D

by Colecionador on 2008-03-03 21:29 MDT

o.O

by Rotstejn on 2008-03-03 23:19 MDT

lol @ m-l, letting PV win with a rogue deck is just weak .... ^^

by warwizard87 on 2008-03-04 00:12 MDT

ChuckNorris on 2008-03-03 18:58 MST

Kiki Jiki, Mirror Breaker RRR2

3/3

chuck norris doesn't misquote cards he changes the oracle to suit his needs.

by DrAwesome on 2008-03-04 01:45 MDT

Its great the PV won, i think hes great. The reaction, however just shows what morons people on ML are. If just about anyone else won with this list you would be flaming it left and right. PV wins and you think hes a genius (im not saying he isnt) for useing a rogue deck. Just remember this the next time a different deck or a "bad list" wins a master or even a trial.

by Burton911 on 2008-03-04 03:36 MDT

that probably be true, but at least everyone konws that PV is a good Player and thats enough on ml most of the time.

by sterbi on 2008-03-04 04:33 MDT

GJ PV

@thedarkness: I'm pretty sure you didn't remember that you can't copy Venser and are searching for excuses for your mistake. But no, i can't prove that. Your arguments are ridicolous, Venser Bouncing Confinements wins you like allways the game because you play Mancer and Fire/Ice and Pestermites and you need to deal just the 6 Dmg over the Form :/ ( And Jitte + Pestermite is enough also )

by r0fl on 2008-03-04 08:58 MDT

we're only praising it because its actually a good rogue deck

by ringman on 2008-03-04 09:40 MDT

lol@ darkness seriously man dont try to hide ur noobness its not the first time ive seen u say shit and then trying to go back.last time u were sooo wrong it almost got on my nerves, but now im sure ur wrong i just can't prove it.
btw the next time u say you are right and the others are wrong plz dont say u tested the matchup of a rogue deck ok?bcz u know a rogue deck HAS ONLY BEEN TESTED BY ITS OWNER!!

by gypsy on 2008-03-04 10:10 MDT

thedarkness is right ur all just fucking idiots. ringman how do u know it hasnt been tested moron, its easy to go look at trial lists or mini lists and i saw pvs list earlier that week and tested it, am i its owner, no but i tested it so ur statement is completely flawed.

by Trotsky1 on 2008-03-04 10:21 MDT

If PV won with pharge reanimator (which is probably possible on here) still half the thread would be like wow pharge mannequin what a combo.

by curly on 2008-03-04 11:07 MDT

damn non legandary clause..... time to call chuck norris to roundhousekick the hell outa kiki lol also srry peoples reading cards is tech...

by _SM0KE_ on 2008-03-04 13:08 MDT

Pv's skill >>>>> netdecking.

No more.

by bertu on 2008-03-04 16:19 MDT

Hahahahahhahah!!!!

PV is such a master, its unreal.

by Counterlife on 2008-03-04 20:26 MDT

Im gonna be honest...I like the deck. Btw, thedarkness did fuck up, but was vague enough that he switched tracks...you know...try to make us feel like a bigger idiot than he is. Let it go and save face, you look better for it.

by Chico_Ze on 2008-03-08 10:52 MDT

ringman you're my hero
