Its better against extirpates, and random shimian specters.
Also, if you're runnin straight BW it doesnt stretch your mana base at all.

i know i was just sayin in reference to BW decks.
but also in regards to the Flare deck above, with signets, totem, urborg, and cantrips and draw card spells, the mana base isnt stretched at all by damnation and wrath

Yeah, good or not, it was 3-0-0 for 2 Master byes...
Very lucky

Here are my opponents:
R1: Solar Flare
R2: Project X
R3: Mono B Aggro
R4: Bye (there were 5 aktive players. so i got the bye)
R5: Bye (The 2 other remaining players dropped... don't know why!?!)

At least i have to say that i had so much luck against Mono Black because i topdecked my last land to Reanimate Akroma and he didnt find a Cruel Edict with a Confidant in play...

This is solar flare, I am sure...

Solar Flare came up 1 year ago and it was called WUB Zombify, then the named changed to Solar Fire and finally to Solar Flare...

It played Zombify, a lot of Draw Spells, removal, Yosei,Kokushu , Angel of Despair and maybe Meloku or Ink-Eyes...

I think i could call this Deck Solar Flare again...


btw: The name Solar Flare comes from the japanese Dragonball Manga, where a character named Kuririn made a move called "Solar Flare Atack"
And the character has no hairs on his head.. like Angel of Despair has

OMG cant believe you dont know solar flare men....is the same idea that the orginal solar flare only that it uses some different guys (akroma, aeon) and it doesnt uses Zombify because Body double is way betther 'cause he can come into play copying an opponent creature

It's called Solar Flare because if you look at Angel of Despair, you'll see the sun on the right side of the card, in the background, being eclipsed - and you can see the solar flares around the border of the moon.

It has nothing to do with Dragonball.

actually, it does have to do with dragonball. The Japanese guy that created it has said many times in his articles that he made it up because Angel of Despair looks like Kuririn. It is also why U/G tron is sometimes called Cell.
