Boros has more ways than kataki to beat affinity easily aka burn, more artifact disruption, etc....i keep saying that he just got lucky with those matchups, but in the other side its cool cuz noobs will start to play affinity again and boros will once again pwn extended meta again.

vs boros w/o kakaki is a match xtremaly winable for affinity.
W/ kataki - obviously - its harder, but not even impossible.

I was luck? Just for dont play vs 9472343 rocks - but I played vs 1 flow rock (which i beat) - not for boros.

when will u people realise there is no best deck in extended if there were everyone would just play that.
affinity is very good everyone just says kataki bleh but thats wat they do when they dont want to test it but good people realise that kataki doestn own affinty as you just have ways to kill. as my friend asked olivier ruel last years extended pt in la "how do you beat kataki?" which he replied "i kill it then i kill them"

well , a good player knows how to use the right deck in the right time.

affinity is great, but it was gone for a while because some sideboard cards ( like kataki ) win the game easily against afinnity.

since afinnity was not anymore a tier 1 deck , people stopped to use this kind of cards, making the deck good to use again.

As an affinity player who still hasn't lost a sanctioned match to boros, i think the matchup actually favors affinity (of course if boros plays maindeck kataki it's all harder, but most boros don't) and a good affinity player can win even through all the hate like ancient grudge or deed or kataki or whatever.
It is a very skill intensive matchup though so playing well is what matters the most...

What's with the Boros > Affinity ? Please look at the affinity sideboard and notice 4 darkblast.
They own kataki, lavamancer, lions and if played well all the 2 toughness creatures also.
Not to even mention 4 fire/ice?

I'd say affinity is favored vs most current boros lists. Boros no longer plays MD katakis and pillage and tends to run less burn in place of more pro red dudes. I agree that affinity is a strong deck at times, but tends to lack consistancy.

In Aggro Loam Thoughts of Ruin > Devastating dreams. If countered we don't lose discarded cards, we don't kill our bops and werebears (if we don't have a threshhold after graveyard cleaning) and we get to keep our hand.

This is seriously one of the stupidest things Ive read, Affinity is always going to be good. It will randomly win shit and if the right player plays it they'll do well. Just because someone won with it doesn't mean people are all in the sudden playing it, it always has a few people playing it in trials.

where for the stifles?
storm matchup is good enough
no jitte main o.O
no 4 in sb
4 scepter and 3 balance are too much
wherefore 3 tops if you have trinket mage
no pyrite spellbomb
no 4 dwarfen blastminer is the worst, its very difficult win without theim against cloudpost/tron
i think the scepter is very bad its only good against aggro and very bad without counter
