nice deck

by theunknown on 2007-01-14 13:03 MDT

ftw?

by xFreefallx on 2007-01-14 13:10 MDT

Wow, Project X placing well! I didn't think I would ever see that

by Stryker on 2007-01-14 14:00 MDT

And a few people were actually complaining because of fewer number of Standard Trials. It's because the top 4 usually looks like that =P

by In_Flames on 2007-01-14 14:25 MDT

Makemedevil is playing again

*fear*

by In_Flames on 2007-01-14 14:26 MDT

Tenham medo, muito medo :D

Tenho que voltar a jogar de novo

by Bozo on 2007-01-14 15:17 MDT

This is like, the third or fourth time MGA has placed top 4, I think the deck has proven itself as being very consistent.

by Daveyboy on 2007-01-14 15:18 MDT

yea, what he said....

by SOAD on 2007-01-14 18:59 MDT

I think the blink raiders deck is going trough a good way it might get to Tier one one day ^.^

by ZonGo on 2007-01-14 19:01 MDT

MGA is gonna be even better with Planar Chaos...

by Taoofss on 2007-01-14 20:44 MDT

MGA scoops to dragon storm. what can it do? hope other player doesnt storm?

by Eldariel on 2007-01-14 22:13 MDT

To be fair, MWS can kill in 4 turns so racing isn't out of the question, especially with a won die roll.

by hellangel on 2007-01-14 23:12 MDT

oh yea, people always say that MGA is a bad deck. It's a mere coincidence that the deck makes it up to so many Top4s ;)

by Taoofss on 2007-01-14 23:51 MDT

it wins on turn 4 only with god hands and no disruption in the form of gigadrowse and remand from the dstorm deck. and yes gigadrowse stays in after sbing, nothing like haveing your turn 4 kill ruined by a korsan grip on a lotus.

by Ro on 2007-01-14 23:56 MDT

Wub Martyrtron ftw!

by aldaryn on 2007-01-15 00:00 MDT

I have always loved Mono Green. But look at that decklist, folks.
4 Scryb Ranger
4 Call of the Herd
4 Spectral Force
4 Llanowar Elves
3 Stonewood Invocation
4 Moldervine Cloak

Why don't you just add some Plaxmanta, Remands, Voidslimes and then make a sideboard that doesn't suck so bad against martyrtron and dragonstorm and uw control (trickbind, teferi, etc). There's just no reason to play MGA over U/G right now in my opinion. Say all you want about mana screw, but between Birds and 8 duals and heck even simic growth chamber and gemstone mine if you want...U/G is a strictly superior deck, IMO. ALTHOUGH...maybe not after Planar Chaos. We'll see.

by Xaarn on 2007-01-15 00:10 MDT

boros >> mga

*edit* n1 MakeMeDevil tas a aprender cmg ;>

by Goji on 2007-01-15 03:52 MDT

i agree ug is strictly the way to go right now but when we get troll in 10th and groundbreaker in pc mono green aggro looks pretty nice

by WiCkEdWiZaRd on 2007-01-15 07:28 MDT

MGA Aggro is bad
so is searing Meditation

by bizenrick on 2007-01-15 07:36 MDT

Congratz hellangel !! MGA ftw ! Brazil ftw EASY.

by Mandos on 2007-01-15 07:56 MDT

i'm eating an apple.

by ChristPunchr on 2007-01-15 09:39 MDT

Apple-munching 4tw.

Fuck what will be tier one and so forth with pc being so close to release.

by BloodyAngel on 2007-01-15 10:35 MDT

lol hunted wumpus vs boros GG <3

by Alpha_n1 on 2007-01-15 12:08 MDT

MGA is just bad.
People who plays it as no expectations, it can never be a good deck in a swiss mode important torney...
from the top4 decks blink riders is nice BWR control can be good

by MaksymG on 2007-01-15 13:10 MDT

mga is very viable as u can clearly c with the previous trials, having said that it is only getting better with the ball lightning and the glorious anthem that is being dumped in there with PC

by hellangel on 2007-01-15 15:10 MDT

@ alpha_n1

swamp mosquito.dec FTW, right?

by blackcat77 on 2007-01-15 16:13 MDT

You are kidding me. A deck that gets owned by Dark Banishing wins the trial. I hope nobody is using this as a warmup for regionals.

by Eldariel on 2007-01-15 16:28 MDT

Dark Banishing seriously has nothing on Silhana Ledgewalker, Stonewood Invocations or even Spectral Force. And MGA doesn't really care about card advantage as long as it deals damage, getting 2-for-1d is pretty trivial.

by SkaTista on 2007-01-15 19:14 MDT

Congratis Hellangel.. \o/
Astekas >>> all.

by Jacois on 2007-01-16 08:34 MDT

Aldaryn, it's pretty poor etiquette to say MGA is worse than U/G when MGA won the tourney. Sheesh

by sc4rs on 2007-01-16 10:04 MDT

by WiCkEdWiZaRd on 2007-01-15 09:28 EST

MGA Aggro is bad

What do you think the "A" in MGA stands for...?

And MGA isn't necessarily worse than U/G. The reason that mono color agro decks could be considered better isn't because of the mana screw issue, its because of all the pain you take in order to mana smooth - essentially any two color deck starts the game at about 17 because of pains and duals, and any three color deck starts at about 15. Mono color decks take no pain, so they start at 20, meaning they don't have the disadvantage vs. another agro deck of starting with a free lightning bolt to the dome.

by mikeg542 on 2007-01-16 12:32 MDT

Black_elf: Why ancestral visions over...say, compulsive research?

by Vodka_7up on 2007-01-16 14:24 MDT

cause it's one mana to suspend and the game naturally goes long with a land destruction deck. you also don't have to discard or clog up your LD turns

by mikeg542 on 2007-01-16 17:42 MDT

Well I brought a similar enough version to a t2 tourney(without the riders) and more often then not it was: I draw lightning helix or lose. And more then once in that one tourny, if it had been a visions I would've lost. There was -never- a time when I wished a research in hand was a visions.

by Jsobel21 on 2007-01-28 09:26 MDT

MGA is better than UG, thats why it does better online(#1 deck, thank you very much)
