Djinn on 2007-01-13 03:29 MDT Metagame Breakdown brought to you by Djinn:
by badam on 2007-01-13 03:32 MDT 1 Affinity << helps alot by TugaChampion on 2007-01-13 04:09 MDT 5c Zoo!!! That's a fine deck. by tiran on 2007-01-13 04:42 MDT the best one ;-) by TugaChampion on 2007-01-13 05:26 MDT Boros Swiftblade+Gaea's Might=12 dmg! by Djinn on 2007-01-13 05:41 MDT first turn ape, 2nd mongrel and 3rd gaeas might+tribal flames deals 20 dmg if you're on draw, 19 if on play :) by bobjackson on 2007-01-13 08:03 MDT 1 cranial = gg against the tog deck...
by Eldariel on 2007-01-13 08:20 MDT bob: Good luck resolving that. And it can still kill with Confidant. by therooster on 2007-01-13 09:45 MDT And who plays cranial extraction anyway :P by therooster on 2007-01-13 09:51 MDT PS: I love tog, the only times Ive done decent in PTQs (like 7th place and 10th place) were with Tog... but there is so much potential hate now, I've lost the balls to play it :/
by Ro on 2007-01-13 09:54 MDT Only slow-rolling boros players play sudden shock.
by therooster on 2007-01-13 09:58 MDT Sudden Shock, Tormod's Crypt, Leyline of the Void, Withered Wretch, Pithing Needle, and other lesser used answers :/
by Crassus_PL on 2007-01-13 09:58 MDT This tog list is very interesting. And the Zoo deck is absolutely great, the only really bad matchup is flow rock, and form what i can see this list doesn't have a single basic land... 3 basic lands would be great (forest, mountain, plains) to survive a destructive flow in g1.
by therooster on 2007-01-13 10:02 MDT I don't think the Zoo deck wants to counter things, and I'm not sure it wants to try and build up a kudzu either. It likes to win FAST by abusing those invasion spells and creatures that can deal more damage then the number of mana you put into them. by Shagrath on 2007-01-13 15:10 MDT This zoo was played by Christian FLaaten, so its not new. I don´t understand so much excitement.
by badam on 2007-01-13 15:54 MDT dude i would play kudzu over watchwolf, with 12 fetch lands in the deck, its sure to be a 3/3 when it attacks the first time, and likly a 5/5 the second. by Shivan1 on 2007-01-13 17:15 MDT kudzu dies to sudden shock, firebolt, etc etc etc... wasted 2-drop in the deck. It needs fast, consistent hitters, not a situational card. by Spyx on 2007-01-13 19:19 MDT yeah seriously it's not like you're going to get more then 3 land all the time by sonicqaz on 2007-01-13 20:32 MDT Kudzu=Watchwolf if you measure the strengths and weaknesses. Both cards have their merits.
by TylerTMK on 2007-01-14 07:28 MDT I think Kudzu is beter than Watchwolf although wild mongrel is far better than both of them. It's important to have creatures with abilities and not just a vanilla 3/3. by buda on 2007-01-14 18:01 MDT Does Guilty Conscience + Stuffy Doll = infinite damage? by badam on 2007-01-15 02:06 MDT does guilt conscience + stuffy doll + dark blast = rape? |
