I don't like this top 3..

by kendiggy on 2006-12-20 16:09 MDT

And the top three dosn't like you.

by center425 on 2006-12-20 16:16 MDT

the ub list should be running rewind instead of remand. It was listed wrong by bdm.

by Russell_Nash on 2006-12-20 16:25 MDT

really? thats an odd top3 for such a large tournie.

19 boros decks, lord.
Man, Solarflare has really fallen off the radar.

by SkaP on 2006-12-20 16:26 MDT

If you play remand or Rewind depents on the meta, I couldnt see any big use of rewind in the meta i was expecting (BDW, Dragonstorm) Rewind are obvioulsy the first choice when expecting a lot of controll, but Remand goes first against beatdown, so i decided to play Remand

by kokusho6 on 2006-12-20 17:05 MDT

well i beat a BDW and pirexianox totally owned me but no wrath mo marty or rebirth both games >_<

by kokusho6 on 2006-12-20 17:05 MDT

and my deck is called snow white and the 7 clerics

by Ricoco on 2006-12-20 17:12 MDT

UB Dimir Control is "Dralnu du Louvres" made by Wafo-Tapa

by Kilua on 2006-12-20 17:14 MDT

Go wafo-tapa decks! Also, 19 Boros sounds just a little too much :S

by Pete278 on 2006-12-20 17:22 MDT

BW Aggro is called Panda Connection, btw.

by aldaryn on 2006-12-20 17:38 MDT

hey wanted to ask pirexianox how the repeals were...i'm assuming against aggro but with so much bdw i thought gather courage would be better to keep birds/elves alive etc... how did your sideboard work out for you? i have mine very similar except trying to squeeze in teferi too

by is_adonis_cl on 2006-12-20 23:29 MDT

the list of pirexianox is realy cool, and the repeal in side is for bdw(19), teferi maybe is a option, but this list was worked by us, and this on approval

by Rotstejn on 2006-12-21 04:09 MDT

19 Boros Deck Wins is not to much, but no one in top 3 ? :o omg

by Llama_Bill on 2006-12-21 05:41 MDT

"Dralnu du Louvres" looks fun I'll have to try it.

by OlegSlayer on 2006-12-21 13:29 MDT

Dralnu du Louvres... "fun" is not the word I'd use to describe that deck. If you enjoy going to the time limit each match and having its outcome decided by who wins game one, be my guest and play it.

by kevinconvery on 2006-12-22 06:44 MDT

Agreed. It's not a "fun" deck by any stretch of the imagination. I guess in some twisted manner it's fun if you consider fun being that people never want to play you again because they're bored to the point of abject frustration of the game being far, far too slow or the fact that they can land nothing on the table to play with.

Just play Dragonstorm and tap his fucking lands out with Gigadrowse. Really, Wafo-Tapa's decks are the reason I'd play Dragonstorm in an environment like this, if I was expecting draw-go to the wazoo.

I think the man's thought his decks out well, and I'm sure he's a very talented player (his results speak for themselves). Just not my cup of tea. I guess I'm too Johnny.

by SkaP on 2006-12-22 09:38 MDT

k ive played UB-Controll against Dragonstorm and Im 10:1 against it, only tough mu are Scryb and Force and BDW of the more popular Decks.
And Time Out??
Happened only once to me, in the finals of a mini, we played two and a half hours, lost game one to missplay and won game two and three, and in the third game i had to deck my opponent, that was the reason for the duration, but it is really rare that you go to time out with this deck

by Hagi on 2006-12-23 00:49 MDT

is there a way that i can look at the rest of the decklist that was in this tournament?

by MotC on 2006-12-24 10:33 MDT

MOO!

by Shivan1 on 2006-12-25 16:38 MDT

SkaP, you need one copy of haunting hymn. Other than that, cool list.
