by Pete278 on 2006-12-08 15:51 MDT

From Worlds on, I vowed that I would spread the new name for MartyrTron. From this point on, let it be known as NassifTron, in honour of Nassif and his 1337ness.

by youngtifan on 2006-12-08 15:53 MDT

go go dstorm

by Kai_ on 2006-12-08 16:02 MDT

by yavin1 on 2006-12-08 17:01 MDT

yea, more rouge would be cool, but still, great job placers

by sexmonkey on 2006-12-08 17:08 MDT

matyr tron is gr8 deck

by nephilim207 on 2006-12-08 17:14 MDT

Yeah, I think Martyrtron is one of the best decks in the format, if not THE best deck. Yeah, I would appreciate some rogue here and there, but I like this top 3! At least there's not 2/3 Dragonstorm or something :).

by Ch0b1 on 2006-12-08 17:28 MDT

But is important the player =)

by Boba383 on 2006-12-08 19:41 MDT

Such a small trial........that should tell you we don't want trials at 10 AM PST. try 5 PM PST

by sorot on 2006-12-08 19:52 MDT

HOW Chronosavant Work ?

I don't see any think in 1st deck

please explains

by Eldariel on 2006-12-08 20:06 MDT

The existence of Martyrtron and Dragonstorm=Need Cranial Extraction into the format. 2 boring, common decks just can't be good for the whole. I gotta make some aggro-deck just to work around the Top 2.

by TybudX on 2006-12-08 20:09 MDT

Chronosavant does two things:

1) You have ridiculously high life total, and taking 20 damage a turn doesn't even put a chink in it. Wrath, bring back dude. Repeat until opponent runs out of gas.

2) Same situation as the first, except you also have insane amounts of mana available. Count your oppoenents library, and then activate Chronosavant's ability from the graveyard as many times as it takes to deck the guy across from you. Laugh at how cheesy gaining a gajillion life is.

by jpg on 2006-12-08 20:19 MDT

Does Martyrtron even have a bad matchup in this format?

by sc4rs on 2006-12-08 20:23 MDT

Stuff running Persecute and graveyard removal.

Flare/Fader post board?

by Jsobel21 on 2006-12-08 20:55 MDT

BIORHYTHM!!!!!!!!!

by wrshamilton on 2006-12-08 21:14 MDT

i might be dense but i don't know how martyr tron finishes against u/w tron. they just start recurring triskelavus forever with about 15 cards in their library so you can't deck them. and they put one fetters on the factory.

by wrshamilton on 2006-12-08 21:15 MDT

just went 2-0-2 on friday night magic drawing against triscuittron and against blinkglare with a surprise biorhythm to steal a game.

biorhythym doesn't do enough if you see it coming

by DESTRUCTOR on 2006-12-08 22:25 MDT

gratz to the top-3.....damm i just dont like to see dragonstorm and martyrtron in the top-2 because they are boring decks and i just dont like them....jester cap may be helpfull now instead of cranial extraction and even more if you are runing academy ruins ;)

by flynnT on 2006-12-09 06:24 MDT

hide // seek both fucks dragonstorm AND martyrtron. play it.

by DESTRUCTOR on 2006-12-09 07:52 MDT

jester cap may be betther...but depends on how much time dragonstorm give you

by Bozo on 2006-12-09 08:32 MDT

How does Seek hurt Martyrtron at all? I mean, unless you draw all 4...

by Ninja87 on 2006-12-09 10:59 MDT

wtf... 10 dragonstorm decks... seriously.. if dragonstorm was THAT popular, it wouldn't be good anymore, because everyone would have sideboards JUST for them...

by magiclover on 2006-12-09 11:32 MDT

whats there to sideboard against a dragon storm with

giga????

=X if you counter one giga most likely you won't have much mana left to counter his dragonstorm next turn.

by SOAD on 2006-12-09 13:46 MDT

thats why there is trickbind, its suck an amazing anti storm/replicate card.

WAZZAAAA!!!!!

by Columbus on 2006-12-09 21:50 MDT

MartyrTron...yay. Another no-skill cheesy netdeck.

The people who play it are the same cheesy idiots who play Mind's Desire and combo out to "win" and think they're good.

Combo decks are for people who are so bad at Magic, they need to cheese their way out to "win" because they can't win any other way. Pathetic...

by Burnin on 2006-12-10 04:33 MDT

Rewind owns Gigadrowse. Then Trickbind or Shadow of Doubt owns Dstorm.

@Columbus: There's actually some truth in what you say. Lost of times some combo deck beats me and the player goes 'lol I own you' and disconnects. But there are always people who competitively play with the decks, and usually they make the list themselves.
Me for example, my Dstorm list is so much different from those I see top 3 all the time.

by Yaboo1 on 2006-12-10 12:02 MDT

Columbus: you relly don't understand anthing about Magic, so just be quiet. You lose because you are bad, not because other people are "cheesy".

by NoV on 2006-12-12 14:31 MDT

I totally disagree . ;)

by mkbush on 2006-12-14 22:22 MDT

Columbus is the offical magic-league clown

by urza_insane on 2006-12-19 13:44 MDT

Combo is the hardest archtype to play perfectly - that's why nobody is winning with it even though it won worlds
