Land destruction with 3 stone rains. I'd call it U/R Resource Control :)

by Kaesh on 2006-08-10 16:50 MDT

why can't you just call it eminent domain? ._.

by kikimikejiki on 2006-08-10 16:55 MDT

2 JUNKTROLLERS OMFG WTH

by tato- on 2006-08-10 17:01 MDT

gj aggroking..
thedarkness....junktroller??!!

by MTGFAN911 on 2006-08-10 17:05 MDT

junktroller puts the 1 of instant spells on the bottom of his library so he can get them back with sunforger.

it also puts angels etc on bottom so they cant be zombified.

it also puts sosukes summons on bottom so no more reccuring snakes.

not bad. lol

by bad_beatz on 2006-08-10 17:11 MDT

thedarkness=tech monester

by JoelMonteiro on 2006-08-10 17:21 MDT

Junktroller is there to work with Sunforger

by TugaChampion on 2006-08-10 17:37 MDT

I lost the semi-final to Illydan. It was very even. He won G1 and I won G2 with less then 5 minutes left in the round. In G3 I drew no more lands than the 2 I had in my first hand and they were both plains. I didn't get a creature I could play until my last turn. My opp played a Ryusei, the Falling Star the turn before and then attacked the turn after I played Isamaru. He attacked and I had 2 shining shoals in hand and 2 more cards that I could use with them. One was Ghost Council and the other one a mortify. I used one he countered, I used the other one and he remanded and I hadn't anymore cards to remove to play that shining shoal again. But maybe I should have mulled until I had a first turn play. Anyway GJ everyone in the trial and gratz to the top4 and mainly to aggroking who played a deck I like and won it all.

by metzel_usa on 2006-08-10 18:25 MDT

I dropped and gave thedarkness the win..game one i was land screwed and game 2 i just had to leave. It was close but I think I would of came out on top since I had DC rolling with jitte + putrefy in hand. Oh well....gratz Top 4

by s0b3k on 2006-08-10 18:54 MDT

Good looking deck thedarkness

by Pete278 on 2006-08-10 18:55 MDT

I think the Forger-Glare is called Fungus Fires, no?

by Buratto on 2006-08-10 18:57 MDT

agrroking
How much is deep ours better thank orhan viper???
Warhammer works better thans threads of di...?:::

by Quetzilla on 2006-08-10 19:30 MDT

Fungus Fire runs a lot more burn and maindecks Wrath of God. Forger-Glare is more appropriate I think, and is actually what I had started evolving Fungus Fire into before I got sick of T2. (I had added hierarchs and guildmages but no bops or glares)

by Void06 on 2006-08-10 19:35 MDT

I have a hard time beleiving Ninja is Better than Ohran Viper

by sex_monkey on 2006-08-10 19:53 MDT

Ninja is much better than viper.
Ninja BOUNCES Patagia viper, coiling oracle, and gets you a new snake to play for effects + sosukes summons.
Ninja also beats for 2 a turn, thats double what Viper does. It also hits a turn or even two faster, with a 1 drop thats turn 2 attacking, with a 2drop thats turn 3 attacking.
Viper only attacks turn 3 with a turn 1 scout, and turn 4 without.
Do I need to mention that Ninja is uncounterable aswell? Well yeah, it is.

by Pete278 on 2006-08-10 20:26 MDT

Viper trades with SSS.

by MTGFAN911 on 2006-08-10 20:30 MDT

viper trades with SSS if they block your attacking orhan viper. they gave SSS flying remember ;/

by ShadowS on 2006-08-10 20:38 MDT

What bizzare lists. Junktroller, what tech.

Haakon, Angel, Sosuke's as well as deck synergy. Who woulda thought!?

Is it me, or is it every time UG snakes tops, its a different list all together?

by BattleofWits on 2006-08-10 15:39 PDT

Icy Manip for the win

I'm pretty sure he meant me + any CS card.

by thedarkness on 2006-08-10 22:11 MDT

Junktroller is tech. The deck is junk..I dunno, it could be good, but I really don't find it that impressive as it is there. AND I PLACED THIRD, why is my third place decklist always (both times) in the fourth place slot? O.o

by st4x on 2006-08-11 00:22 MDT

the reason he played ninja over viper people is bc there was no coldsnap for this trial duh.

by Meatwarz on 2006-08-11 01:29 MDT

yeah...and viper is obv better lol just because it's is a snake and it's just an aggro-stopper.

gratz to winners, but there are really some weird card choises in snakes..like iwamori or hammer

by aggroking on 2006-08-11 02:29 MDT

ohran viper is in coldsnap and the trial was without cs iwamori+hammer is great against aggro (better than threads)

by TugaChampion on 2006-08-11 03:30 MDT

Yeah you guys talking about ohran viper: This had no CS!!!

thedarkness, first you didn't place 3rd nor 4th coz there wasn't any 3rd/4th place match. Also at first my deck was in the 4th place slot but that means nothing. We both are in the top4 and it's exactly the same place but they have to put one of the decks above the other.

by zoo on 2006-08-11 08:13 MDT

OK wtf happened in this tourney. Please someone who was playing tron or solarflare or ghazi glare post and tell us what happened. I have nats next weekend I I dont like to see new decks that worry me. Can these decks beat tron? I'm worried.

by thedarkness on 2006-08-11 08:25 MDT

Tuga, I know there's no third or fourth space slot per se, but I find it amusing that in both of my 3rd places in trials, they MOVED over the course of two hours. ;-) And zoo, the deck I have there is more or less an auto-bye vs Solar Flare, and has a decent matchup against glare games 2 and 3, but though I've never played against it while I was awake enough to play well or remember playing it, tron should roll right over it. But if you want to make sure, test it.

by TugaChampion on 2006-08-11 08:36 MDT

Well that happens thedarkness. They edited it to correct the names and maybe they felt that since my deck is more popular than yours they would move it up. Or maybe coz you deck takes up more space they moved it down. Or maybe the person that edited it just likes Ghost Husk more and moved it up :)

zoo, don't tell me you never saw Ghost Husk or UG Snakes (the most flagrant one is not seeing Ghost Husk). Ghost Husk was dominating T2 and then everyone started using Tron coz it beats Ghost Husk most of the time. That's why I moved the pithing needles to SB and included Hand of Cruelty in the MD to have a way to deal more damage in the early game and not let Tron play one of the win conditions. ghazi glare hasn't been a tier 1 deck for a long time.

by zoo on 2006-08-11 09:45 MDT

I know husk and snakes, the problem I am facing is that there are so many decks out there in std. Of course this does make for interesting play, but I suc at draft and need to go 6-0 in constructed. Glare made top-8 US nats and is viable in a solar flare, magnivore, evn tron envirnonment.
I dont think I will see a deck like yours, the quality of players where I am is not prepared to play a deck like that I dont think, specially not me. But nice to know that it is out there so if oppo drops sunforger and starts beating me to death with a scary STE, I'll know what to do.

by Vodka_drink on 2006-08-11 14:06 MDT

my buddy went 6-0 in constructed and got 16th place...though his now 15th in canada!

by Vodka_drink on 2006-08-11 14:11 MDT

also the glare deck...should be playing 4 chars

junk is pretty tech

congrats top 4

by nephilim206 on 2006-08-11 22:16 MDT

Nice new top4! Finally, no Tron! My favorite deck on that list is the Forger-Glare deck. Junktroller is tech!

by Void06 on 2006-08-11 22:23 MDT

yeah thats Kiki right
