First!!
Is Demonfire really worth playing?
Ive been running versions without and the two spaces can be better used, usaully I win the game after controlling the board enough. Suggestions?
Tron = winner again

by loser11 on 2006-07-17 14:48 MDT

wats the purpose of the hussars?

by _Koby_ on 2006-07-17 16:23 MDT

geddyleendao - works as a telling time with a body , gives u time to play wrath of god or a monster

by Void06 on 2006-07-17 17:02 MDT

see what did I tell you a month ago SSS is shit and look what version of tron has been winning

by Angel- on 2006-07-17 17:09 MDT

Taipan went 2-1 and had a bye to get t3 and I made a critical mistake game 1 that made me lose it. If I didn't make the critical mistake, I would have won 2-0. It's a good surprise deck, but IMO I don't feel it can be a tournament winning deck. But that's just my impression from playing it and playing against it.

It's early game is very draw dependant and if it doesn't get a good early start, most decks will beat it. And the list is shaky because of all the 1 of's and 2 of's and stuff. GG anyway Taipan.

by Djinn on 2006-07-17 17:24 MDT

The Tron version is one of the best players in the league. He also plays a lot, so perhaps you have to take another look of his version, cos it's very good.

by Void06 on 2006-07-17 17:29 MDT

I'm saying his version is great, the SSS splashing green versions are awful. Good job Kaesh ^__^

by Streakz on 2006-07-17 17:35 MDT

Solar Flare is what the Japanese guy who gave me the deck told me to call it. Also, Kaesh is dead for what he named his deck.

by bad_beatz on 2006-07-17 17:59 MDT

GJ jesse thanks for makin this deck popular
now obv i have to play a new deck at nats...

by RichardDWade on 2006-07-17 18:26 MDT

I remember someone posted a thread not to long ago about solar flare... Everyone knocked it! Thats awesome.

by Magicquebec on 2006-07-17 21:09 MDT

I have been playing Tron with green for a while (i'm testing decks without kamigawa block) And beside the 4 damage to every creature that Wildfire produce, i really don't like loosing lands in tron.

I play Savage Twister instead. I love it. Wildfire as it's use, but i like keeping my lands.

It never happened where i would have wanted to play a wildfire instead of a twister.

i'd like to know why is wildfire played in the deck and it's good against what deck?

thx

by Re-Venge on 2006-07-17 21:14 MDT

uh, its good cause it kills your opponents lands, and however much you dont like killing your lands, imagine how it feels for them when you have signets out for mana and they have nothing.

oh, and straight UR version is MUCH better than urg. And the UR version should run at least 2 islands, so that crapy strip mine has a lesser effect.

by Manipulation on 2006-07-17 21:18 MDT

Magicquebec: If all you've got is Tron and Signets and all they have is 1-3 land, a Keiga/SSS is GG. Savage Twister isn't as effective as it only clears out creatures.

by ChristPunchr on 2006-07-17 21:48 MDT

Heh, I know freak irl and he always makes original decks that a few people get stoked on, yet he never plays them in these trials. Wtf

by novocaine on 2006-07-17 22:00 MDT

savage twister MD is the only answer against beatdown decks (gruul, zoo, boros, etc) in a Tron
i play 2 MD and 2 SB. don't use pyroclasms anymore.
and SSS is not that bad. i guess?

by PV on 2006-07-17 22:19 MDT

gj jesse for making this deck popular, now I might run into a lot of it at nationals \;D ;D ;D ;D

by Streakz on 2006-07-18 00:33 MDT

Well, my original intention was just to screw around in the master I won with Solar Flare. Then I played it in another master and top8ed yet again and from there it became a "contender" on here. I wish I had played it less on here and definately on MODO because now it is seeing much more play and it "was" the deck I was planning on playing at Nationals/JSS but I am pretty sure I will be switching decks now. Sorry.

by PV on 2006-07-18 00:57 MDT

streakz, you didn't win the master

It's cool how people split and then both declare themselves as winners ;P

If I remember, you lost to shyft when you played ;)

by Spartacus on 2006-07-18 08:36 MDT

The inevitable return of the great Masterpiece!!

by Magicquebec on 2006-07-18 09:27 MDT

well look at the reginals deck that finished 1rst, they didnt run wildfire either. i play green because i play without kamigawa to test for the future t2, and keiga will be out so SSS will go in.

by ChristPunchr on 2006-07-18 10:19 MDT

The masterpierce can kiss my ass. It is a GWB deck with four to five blue creatures in it. WOOOOO. If I'm not mistaken, that isn't quite the list that recieved a bit of hype either.

by Shagrath on 2006-07-18 10:55 MDT

Taipan's sideboard is somewhat questionable .
1 cruel edict?
only 2 last gasps?
just 1 okiba?
In my humble opinion ninjas in this deck are not very good.
Did u guys tried castigate?

by Taipan on 2006-07-18 12:16 MDT

My SB was a pure experiment. The single ninja came in place of the 4th persecute. Why ? People let Hussars hit em. And its nice to bounce Angels back to hand for reuse. Just a thought.
1 last gasp was replaced by one cruel edict, again an experiment, vs Tron.
Castigate, nah. I see a lot of blue control decks (mostly tron) and a 1-for-1 wont do much vs their cardadvantage.

by Void06 on 2006-07-18 14:41 MDT

SSS IS BAD YOU ARE BAD IF YOU DON'T AGREE KTHXBI

by JoelMonteiro on 2006-07-18 16:53 MDT

The masterpiece is a terrible deck!Congrats for putting it in the top3!

by Tesseract on 2006-07-22 20:44 MDT

Wow...3 more overplayed netdecks. This is so exciting

by sexican on 2006-07-23 10:55 MDT

Solar Flare needs more Orzhov Signet
