some new decks in the top of the trial this time. good job

by PolarBearGod on 2006-07-02 18:35 EST

MOTHERFUCKINGGAWDDAMSECONDBITCHES!

See how stupid that is.

by Manipulation on 2006-07-02 18:36 EST

I lost to Diceboy in round 2, although I think he can tell you about true manascrew for our second game. Anyway, gratz all, some intresting decks.

by daman4udog on 2006-07-02 18:40 EST

4 Hit // Run
4 Dark Confidant

THAT is guts in this format.

by Unavailable on 2006-07-02 18:44 EST

PolarBearGod, shut up. Everyone knows that it's stupid. And you being sarcastic because of something that haven't happened this time just proves YOU are being the stupid here, boy.

About what matters: I don't quite play Standard, but I can say that I don't like Hit//Run and Dark Confidant in the same build, especially when the field is clearly aggro. Plus, you've got Solifuge (4 mana), shocklands and Char SB; those add up to the fact that you'll end up losing much life.

by Spyx on 2006-07-02 19:00 EST

hmm he is at 2 life no cards in hand, and he passes the turn, I have my confidant, and I am at 4 life.
taking chances there buddy!

by BlackLotus on 2006-07-02 19:29 EST

Its not how much life you lose...its all about whether you can deal 20 damage to your opponent before they deal 20 to you. This deck certainly does it better than any others out there.

by Red- on 2006-07-02 19:51 EST

>:D

by Fayul on 2006-07-02 20:35 EST

Ninth!

Why does Flores get the name of this deck? It irks me, since it's a somewhat obvious build.

by Manipulation on 2006-07-02 21:00 EST

BlackLotus: We understand the point of aggro, but its much tougher to deal 20 to opponent before they deal 10-15 to you than the full 20. That's why Hit//Run is an iffy call at best.

by sui_slush on 2006-07-02 21:10 EST

Dilaudid is a good friend of mine, I was there while he was playing, neither of us play block, so he jacked the list off STG and we changed like 2 cards. Flores is the one who gets the credit because he is the one who played it at Charleston and wrote an article about it.

by ChaseQueen on 2006-07-02 21:36 EST

hit is the best card in the deck idiots

by TylerTMK on 2006-07-02 22:30 EST

You guys are retarded, how about you play the deck and then question it...I've flipped hit/run 3 times in a mini with the deck and won all of those games...not even close. The deck is very good. Saito used it to mop me up rather quickly at the PT :/

by bb_bart on 2006-07-02 22:32 EST

shudnt it b florezhov? and nice selesnya :P

by Angel- on 2006-07-02 22:32 EST

You know, ChaseQueen, I could swear Confidant is a better card. Making opp lose a signet just seems less spectacular to me than pay 1B and get card advantage.

by Unavailable on 2006-07-02 22:36 EST

TylerTMK, so you're trying to convince me that losing EIGHT life in an aggro environment doesn't matter at all or, even better, doesn't even get CLOSE to matter, as you stated?
Your behavior makes me believe you're exaggerating, at best.

by MagicIzMe on 2006-07-02 22:59 EST

gj eskimo. lost to u in the third round. was a tough 1-2 match.

by Tesseract on 2006-07-02 23:14 EST

Magic-League.com should change their address to
NetDeckCentral.com

Ridiculous..

by ChaseQueen on 2006-07-02 23:30 EST

lol at ure retarded comment red

by Angel- on 2006-07-02 23:46 EST

But hey it's true. I mean the whole "hit is the best card in the deck idiots" comment is pretty dumb.

I mean c'mon, for this deck if you had to choose between Hit//Run or Confidant, what would you pick?

I rest my case. Time for food.

by Manipulation on 2006-07-03 00:14 EST

Hit//Run isn't horrible, just something to be very, very cautious of. I wouldn'y play Confidant at 7 or less ever running it.

by TylerTMK on 2006-07-03 00:18 EST

Hymnody-rav block is far from an aggro environment. I mean sure losing 8 vs an aggro deck isnt good, but the environment is much more control oriented. I'm not sure how you guys can and continue to question the deck with its success...

by SOAD on 2006-07-03 02:55 EST

Saito´s deck is the pwnage, coz it show you how getting 8 damge in opponents favor just isnt enought to help him kill you, that theck is for Balls.

Well done!!!

by ezkimo on 2006-07-03 04:38 EST

Saito's deck is just really solid, that's all I can say about it. And everyone questioning the Confidant vs Hit/Run, it actually doesn't matter at all. The chance of that happening is really small, and even if it does happen it's not like that you lose to that.

by PolarBearGod on 2006-07-03 08:08 EST

by Hymnody on 2006-07-02 18:44 EDT

PolarBearGod, shut up. Everyone knows that it's stupid. And you being sarcastic because of something that haven't happened this time just proves YOU are being the stupid here, boy.

Maybe once you grasp the concept and ability to use the proper english grammar I might understand you enough to give a fuck.

by TugaChampion on 2006-07-03 13:04 EST

I can't believe I lost to Dilaudid on round 3 with the same deck that won the tourney!!! I just couldn't draw what I needed. I boarded 3 Orzhov Pontiffs in g2 and got none and I would have won g2 if I had drawn at least 1. But congratz to the top3.

by Anti-Christ on 2006-07-03 13:25 EST

Ummm...he WAS speaking English, but not with proper grammar. I just hate when people attack others saying how they should type English when it is. Lame ass way to try to come off as more intelligent.
Btw, I'm not insulting you, just pointing it out because lots of people do it and it's fucking retarded.

by PolarBearGod on 2006-07-03 15:29 EST

Edited after _Osiris_'s education of the bear.

by Dr_Moo on 2006-07-03 15:43 EST

@ Fayul - that's Flores' build of BW. It's unique because it includes Gleancrawler and Hour of Reckoning. BW decks may be obvious, but Flores build is not. He certainly deserves credit for including Hour, which drastically changes many matchups ( I like the card a lot. There are a lot of tokens that survive it, Vampire regenerates, Ghost Council hides, and Teysa makes dorks. It's surprising that more people didn't play it).

by HPempire on 2006-07-03 18:34 EST

i like the seslyna leyline deck

by Ownj00 on 2006-07-03 19:09 EST

my token leyline deck lives on ^_^

by crew on 2006-07-04 00:18 EST

manipulation > fantastic observation!

:/

by ChristPunchr on 2006-07-04 00:47 EST

Ha, Osiris, sometimes though, it isn't just grammar. Sometimes it is them saying one thing and when you make a rebuttle and say something completely different and pass it off as what they meant.

The part of that little blurb that makes my head hurt is the fact that it is composed abso-fucking-lutely terribly. Read it a few times out loud. If someone said that to me IRL, I would dismiss them as a retard(quite literally).

I like thin mints.

by sui_slush on 2006-07-04 01:50 EST

Tugo, Dilaudid hit that deck EVERY round except for the one vs diceboy. The match is in no way in your favor.

by TugaChampion on 2006-07-04 05:04 EST

Did you see me saying it was in my favor? I just said that I would have won g2 if I had drawn one of the 3 Orzhov Pontiffs. That way I would have killed his tokens leaving Skeletal Vampire for a Hit // Run. Thing just didn't go well in both games.

by Goji on 2006-07-04 05:48 EST

I agree that that topdeck is soo fast.. i got beat by it in a mini playing sky guy control.. i never could stablize early enough

by the_guy_123 on 2006-07-04 09:36 EST

Dovescape for the token deck?

by kfcman1084 on 2006-07-04 10:51 EST

I like thin mints.

i concur

by PV on 2006-07-06 18:02 EST

I like how people barely changed the decks even though the tourney wasn't teams... that's like playing a standard deck in an extended tourney, but I guess it doesnt make a difference when everybody else is playing standard as well :P

by Lackeos on 2006-07-11 05:06 EST

40th!

"Magic-League.com should change their address to

Ridiculous.."

I am getting kind of sick of Tesseract trolling every thread. I just want to point this out in case it's going unnoticed for some.
