Wow 2 BRW aggro and 2 WUR control in the top 4. I wonder what the best decks are?

And good job craztch I belive thats the 2nd trial you won for this master.

by NahHolmes on 2006-06-22 19:12 MDT

Well the BRW aggro deck looks good except for the part where if you flip Hit/Run with Confidant you take 8 damage.

by kikimikejiki on 2006-06-22 19:16 MDT

third! wow all good matches makes me sad i got judge whored by bwing thrid round when my opp couldnt win the game and i got the worst ruling ever

by kfcman1084 on 2006-06-22 19:42 MDT

wow 2 identical RWB list and 2 identical WUR lists

AMAZING

by SOAD on 2006-06-22 19:47 MDT

3rd
Where this decks were NEtdeckes, i was watching all the tournament decks and at least the 50% is the same RBW-Aggro Deck.

by DESTRUCTOR on 2006-06-22 20:04 MDT

SOAD i am not sure but i believe the RBW aggro netdeck is the one Saito from team kajiharu80 use in the pro tour charleston (except they toked out a skeletal vampire and add one more orzhov pontiff) and the other decklist...i dont know but i am pretty much sure is another deck from pro tour charleston.

Congrats to the top-4 GJ

ty affinity.. I was all set to play some form of the Sky Swallower deck i played in Charleston, but then SteveOB reminded me of Saito's deck that he used to beat me rd1 of the PT. (i thought i had the match all locked up, but then he went all double demonfire all over my face.) The BRW deck is probably the most powerful deck in all of rav block... it has no really bad matchups. At worst, if you get into a bind, you can lucksack your way into some TD burn haha. Also, I flipped Hit/Run with confidant 3 times throughout the tournament... I won all 3 games, it's that good.

by Yourmom on 2006-06-22 22:59 MDT

congrats craztch. cant even pronounce that name.

"h3r!0z" (z31)?

by Unavailable on 2006-06-22 23:22 MDT

Dark Confidant + Hit//Run = CRAZYOMG synergy.

by craztch on 2006-06-23 00:10 MDT

I love how everyone says "OMG flip hit/run, take 8!" It's actually irrelevant. You are normally so far ahead that it doesn't even matter. Besides, I'll gladly take 8 so that I can have a hit/run in many matchups, since it will deal 6 a majority of the time in those matchups, or clear out a blocker so that you can get in there for even more. The only time I can think of that this scenario would be bad would be the mirror and the token deck (both g1's, of course), since most control decks don't put that much pressure on you.

by synch987 on 2006-06-23 03:26 MDT

er you only have 20 life, 8 is a rather big chunk of that

by ringman on 2006-06-23 05:30 MDT

well the 2 wur deck was made by puto_chico and he gave it to me and other guy and he got the quarterfinals and i got semifinals paired w/ puto_chico so i let him won bcz i cant be in master and i have already 1 bye:S
The deck is really hot but against brw he must have signets and court hussar to win and he didnt had any so. congrats to scratch anyway as that decklist from saito is a reallly good one.

by sorot on 2006-06-23 05:46 MDT

Fukcing Net deck
Top 2nd - Puto_chico
Top 4th - ringman

All thing is same

... please use some cell of brains to creatre a new thing

by Shagrath on 2006-06-23 06:12 MDT

yeah sure... irrelevant, 2nd turn u put confidant next upkeep flip hit/run 8 dmg at your face , irrelevant indeed...-_-

by craztch on 2006-06-23 07:58 MDT

As I said.. it happened to me 3 times during the tournament, and I won all 3 games. Not only that, but most of the games weren't even close.

by ringman on 2006-06-23 09:46 MDT

sorot plz read the post b4 u post isaid b4 that puto_chico maade the deck and he gave me the same decklist so no net deck and still i dont see the problem of netdeck

by BHTM on 2006-06-23 11:55 MDT

sometimes you need to sacrifice synergy for power, especially in aggro. having an answer to SSS.dec is worth taking 8.

by PTN1 on 2006-06-23 12:32 MDT

i made the deck myself i had a t2 firemane deck and took out hinders leaks wraths and painlands to put odds ends demonfire more burn like helix and overrule and i think its a very good deck only the sideboard needs more thinking it was made at rush

by AlexTrebek on 2006-06-23 13:28 MDT

why doesn't urw run research/development?

Is instant speed card draw or ball lightning bad?

by PTN1 on 2006-06-23 13:30 MDT

i tried it but in ravnica block there is a lot of creature hate and many times the tokens will do nothing they will die to savage twister electrolyze rusalkas all these cards are bad against me twister can kill angels but they will come back

by TylerTMK on 2006-06-23 16:03 MDT

I love how people are trying to argue with a deck that won the PT, I played vs Saito and it was def the quickest match I played all weekend at the PT, his deck is very good...

by Angel- on 2006-06-23 16:25 MDT

I think people are talking about how Saito topdecked his ass off to win. But PV did SB wrong. You don't take out Castigates vs burn. You WANT to take away the burn cards before they hurt you. I also PV should of made his MD with 3 Ghost Dad and 3 Fetters instead of 4 Ghost Dad and 2 Fetters.

"Larry Bird said he once saw, in a game, God playing in disguise of Michael Jordan. Kamla said he saw Jordan playing in disguise as Dwyane Wade. I think I saw Craig Jones playing in the PT Charleston finals in disguise of Saito"

Nice to see 2 portuguese players in the top4. Also nice to see 2 aggro decks in the top4.

on the other hand it's bad to see someone talking about something they don't know (and if he knew how to read he would know). This time it was sorot. If you think it's so easy just netdeck that deck or anyother that won a trial/master and see if you can win with it. You'll probably not even understand how the deck works.
