Congrats Morlock, great to see my UGr deck doing well, I gave the list to SteveOB, even though we've pretty much dismissed it as not good enough compared to our other decks for Charleston :).

small trial, but i ended up playing 2 different GUr critical mass be4 losing to the skyguy control. =(

by SteveOB on 2006-06-12 08:07 MDT

Rofl its awesome to see that deck do well its top 4ed every rav block trial theyve had in the past 2 weeks and the one top 4 had 2

by Markwerf on 2006-06-12 08:58 MDT

The format is based alot on luck. I had streakz down to 12 life with 2x helix and 1x char on hand and BoB and boros recruit out. His turn he plays roiling spoil on my only red producing land and i dont draw a next one :<. The block format should include 9th edition so you can make some more consistent decks

by the_guy_123 on 2006-06-12 09:09 MDT

Then it wouldn't be Block, would it?

by Fayul on 2006-06-12 09:32 MDT

It's not based on luck just because you lost to luck once.

Masterspeaks: Breaking news, Dissension actually -is- legal.

The format is based alot on luck.

Especially if you note how many times Streakz flipped his matches without actually playing...

Look familiar? I can't believe this deck hasn't died yet; I gave up on it a while ago.

Round 1 we couldn't connect and round 2 the guy just scooped to me (he said he had to go). Way to be a douche though VacancyMan. Obviously my deck is fine because it has made finals of the last 3 trials. So yeah, thanks.

doesnt critical mass need fatties to be so? and it's decidedly more than a splash of red

by Void06 on 2006-06-12 13:00 MDT

critical mass and the winning deck here are NOT the same deck. GU/r agro control is just that. Efficient small utilty creatures backed with some burn and counterspell effects. Critical mass is a bad deck that plays elves and fatties together with counterspells. It's a confused deck that doesn't know if it wants to be control or agro.

by PV on 2006-06-12 15:29 MDT

If you could advance with a deck that plays Boros Recruit, I am forced to agree that it's based on luck.

by Buffalo_Wing on 2006-06-12 15:47 MDT

streakz's deck destroyed me round 4.

by ChaseQueen on 2006-06-12 16:34 MDT

hit / run owns the mirror match in 4 color control

by onecleanceli on 2006-06-15 09:03 MDT

thank you for mr. obvious (hit/run comment)... as soon as i saw streakz' deck make its first appearance in the first trial, i immediately built it and put 4 hit/run's in the side for mirror/utility.... surprised he didnt put it in there himself right away
