Wow ... Savage Beats puts two in T4, and WW somehow wins it all? How bad...

by Rotstejn on 2006-04-15 11:58 MDT

I lost the final against myself ...

I played Invoke the Firemind on my opponent for 23, and he is on 20 and I totally forgot the jitte with 2 counters (I normaly never do that)

omg omg omg what a mistake .... :'(

so 2-1 for sandler :'(

So normaly Heartbeat won the game ... Heartbeat for world !!!!

Yeah, not trying to take anything away from Sandler (nj man! :), but I got two horrible draws in the semifinals. Not sure if ww weenie consistently beats heartbeat.

Happy I didn't have to play a mirror match final tho ;O.

lol@how I made the semis just netdecking loran's deck and learning how to play it (:. Might write an article about it, heh (:. Thanks to all who played and contributed, finally I managed to do well in a trial.

by Sandler on 2006-04-15 12:19 MDT

by Vodka_7up on 2006-04-15 12:25 MDT

Why the 1 plains in the board for the WW deck? Is it to help get a more consistant Hokori/Wrath out?

by C-Board on 2006-04-15 13:02 MDT

ww ftw

by Counterlife on 2006-04-15 13:52 MDT

Well, Hikori can slow heartbeat to a crawl....did that ever come into play at all?

by Rotstejn on 2006-04-15 13:57 MDT

by Roar on 2006-04-15 14:46 MDT

IF I had drawn my Parallectric Feedback against FlyingFreak I would almost certainly have won ;)

IF... IF... IF...

by Rotstejn on 2006-04-15 14:49 MDT

by Bejeezus on 2006-04-15 15:47 MDT

Well. GJ Sandler and others.
LOL. I would've gotten further if my opponent hadn't attacked then told me time was up :/ when it was in fact up 5 minutes ago.

by Sandler on 2006-04-15 17:00 MDT

by Streakz on 2006-04-15 18:20 MDT

FlyingFreak is obv a true Magic-Leaguer. When someone thinks about the league, they are thinking about a person such as FlyingFreak.

by Meldethar on 2006-04-15 23:44 MDT

w00t!

Savage Heartbeat FTWs

Sweet WW deck...good job guys.

by dragos_kai on 2006-04-16 00:18 MDT

You didn't come in first Sendai!!! ...noob... I hope you had fun during this whole thing, and good job to everyone!

by Koen on 2006-04-16 03:43 MDT

Now you guys playing Heartbeat Combo will maybe realize to switch Savage Twister for Pyroclasm in the main.

The T3 search for Twister, T4 play Twister, only works if you had the Elder turn 2 for the mountain and if your opponent follows it up with nothing and have no burn or hasted crits. You will usually still need time to transmute for missing combo pieces, because you spent 2 turns killing creatures.

With Pyroclasm, you don't kill everything vs like Zoo and Gruul, but usually enough slow them down, which is the main purpose. Your goal is not to kill their entire board, it's just to combo out before they would win.

Vs decks like White Weenie, Pyroclasm is obviously a lot better, since it kills a lot. It's probably also the best answer vs Kami of the Ancient Law.

IF you got a prenium acount ....

by Koen on 2006-04-16 05:23 MDT

The article itself is only Mike Flores blah, blah, blah. The reply in the forum, where I linked to, is by Maximilian Bracht... So you can read what I meant just fine.

by kukumuku on 2006-04-16 05:28 MDT

Koen, any chance you sneaking out some premium articles...? XD

by Rotstejn on 2006-04-16 06:11 MDT

Stainz, I'm scrub ! Happy now ? Was that what you wanted to hear ?

Greets FlyingFreak

by MarkTwainIII on 2006-04-16 07:26 MDT

ww sucks so bad, therefore sandler sucks so good!

by Sandler on 2006-04-16 07:53 MDT

lol...Its funny how lots of people say "ahh WW is my deck" when A-WW has been done over and over all around the worldB-WW sucks :/.Koen clasm may not be a good idea cause its easier to shoal then twister and anthem can go around it.I dunno though.

As much as I will test this, Bracht is also the guy whose premium article on the deck was really really sloppy and had incorrect readings on the matchups and incorrect sideboard plans (he called zoo a hard matchup and subbed out the combo post board....., bizarre)

So i'm not reallly a fan of his writings. That said, its certainly worth testing.

by PV on 2006-04-16 11:44 MDT

Stop playing a plains on the sideboard, for god's sake :P If you are going to play something to help with Hokori, play, hm, boros garrisson :P

by Buffalo_Wing on 2006-04-16 12:38 MDT

team grah accepts credit for all of these decks.

by Rotstejn on 2006-04-16 13:00 MDT

What do you mean ?

I dind't copy this deck from some random but I read articles learn from them and test ...

And this is the result (my deck)

by Senadai on 2006-04-16 19:43 MDT

lol dragos_kai, sorry mate. (I felt bad when I lost because I promised him I'd win when he lost to horrible draws round 1).

btw Buffalo, I don't remember loran being on team grah when he won that mini, so correct me if I'm wrong but my deck didn't come from you (:.

I am no master deckbuilder; I totally admit to netdecking; however, I see Koen's point, because rarely if ever did I side in a Twister without also siding in the lone pyroclasm. Maybe it should have a place main. Especially with all the ww netdecking that will obv happen :\.
