Magic-League Coverage: 22nd April Standard Master: Top8 Interviews

A new set is almost here, but before that, we have another Standard Master here, the last one before Avacyn Restored comes out. 69 players joined, and after 7 gruesome rounds, only these 8 remain:

Simone[ITA]
Name, age and nationality: Simone Grieco, 17, Italy.
What deck are you playing and why? I'm Playing Ub Control because I think it has still good matchups against the actual meta.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? I think Tamiyo can actually help control decks, Temporal mastery helps delver and new red cards are amazing! Griselbrand is a good card too, I think he's gonna take a good place in the next meta.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? All good people, always good judgments, the only issue is that sometimes in #judges4you there are no judges at the keyboard.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Let me think.. I really loved Cruel Ultimatum, but now I can't say it's my favourite!
Anything else you'll like to add? I'd like to thank the staff of Magic-league, in particular CMA-Flippi that has run this Master.

What deck are you playing and why? ubw walkers cause I like the super friends deck.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? The 3/4 flash angel that removes a permanent and the red miracle 5 damage to creature or player.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? No comments...
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Mind Twist.
Anything else you'll like to add? I need the tech for PT Barcelona.

Name, age and nationality: Mitchell den Hollander, 21, dutch (netherlands).
What deck are you playing and why? Wolf run post - seemed solid, since ub took down in popularity.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? Haven't really got deep into the spoiler yet. I think people will try rdw again, and frites become a little stronger.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? ;ost of the judges are nice and fair :) some just fair.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Preordain.
Anything else you'll like to add? Nah thx.

Name, age and nationality: Baron Thomas, 26, USA.
What deck are you playing and why? Naya Pod, it is extremely versatile and it's about the only deck I'm good with.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? Haven't really looked too much at AVR but I'm liking the new 7 mana black guy where you pay 7 life to draw 7 cards forget his name, that would be sick in frites.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? I like all of the judges I've encountered so far. They take a lot of time out of their days to run tournaments for us.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Wrath of God.
Anything else you'll like to add? Not really, first top 8 so....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

What deck are you playing and why? bw-tokens thought its good but I would change 4 md cards and my sb.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? Haven't seen most cards yet, maybe miracle.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? They do a great job.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Life from the Loam.
Anything else you'll like to add? nope.

Name, age and nationality: Bert Gloton, 26, filipno.
What deck are you playing and why? Shenhar Delver, because I like playing aggro/control decks.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? The miracle cycle.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? Very competent.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Ponder.
Anything else you'll like to add? First master top 8! yeeha!

What deck are you playing and why? UW Delver because its the best choice.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? Vexing Devil seems like it should be good but I'm not sold on it yet. I think cavern of souls will have the biggest impact.
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? lol. I plead the 5th. jk they're fine... cant beat them really they're all volunteers.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Wrath of God.
Anything else you'll like to add? GJ derflippi on running the master and other staff on getting prizes back and paid out. also ACG4Life.

What deck are you playing and why? UW Delver Blade. Just amazing, to me it has a 50% at least of winning every match.
What cards from Avacyn Restored you think will have the most impact on Standard? I did not see most of the cards so I prefer to pass :P
What's your opinion about the judges of Magic-League? They do the best they can but as any other human they sometimes make mistakes.
What's your favorite sorcery spell? Warp World.
