Best card in Shadowmoor for type 2: I used to think the set was good, but after playing some with it I think all the cards are bad... I don't know what the best card is, but I'll say Fire-lit Thicket is the card with the most impact in t2 right now

Faeries is pretty sick if you're unprepared, these days no one should be. It rolls pretty hard to certain cards though. I think at this point its the best game 1 deck in the format then game 2/3 depend on whether you have the discard or counter to effects like "Lose target game" which some of the best hate is. Don't even consider the popular move of going down to 3 Cryptic Command its your only answer to enchantment based hate that hits the table post board and you need 15 slots of your board to be more specific stuff than 1X Cryptic Command.

Paolo says Fire-Lit Thicket is the best Shadowmoor card for standard, so I assume he's playing R/G aggro. It will be a popular deck anyway, along with Faeries.
